thanks for this video! I have to say this is WAY more than just a "how to play happy birthday" tutorial - I used this video these last few days for practicing getting clean notes (at first I thought my harmonica was defective but it was just my technique - now I'm 90% of the way there), so this is a "Harmonica Techniques Rosetta Stone" so to speak, where you can see a sample of what each "stage" from beginner to advanced is. bravo.
Awesome, Luke! I learned so much more than the basic birthday song! I'm just working through the bending section of your Beginner-to-Boss lessons and this is a good complement to bending lessons.
@@Harmonicacom Me too! Had a beard too when I was young. Now I'm shaving. Yes, like your lessons. Helped me much on my way to learn harmonica. Thanks a lot!! 👍🤙
Don't you worry, this is normal problem that most beginners experience! 👌🏼 1.) Let gravity lower your jaw so that it's totally relaxed and in a nice "aw" vowel shape, your teeth should be far apart from each other 2.) Keep the back of your tongue down, like it is when you yawn. Make sure it's not in the "Kk" zone (how your tongue is when you say a "Kk" consonant.) 3.) Nice steady, GENTLE, airflow. Most beginners (and many intermediate and advanced players) use WAY to much pressure. Hope that helps! 😎 Aloha, Luke
I have east top free blue C. I need to do blow draw clean note like yours. How to do it.. Coz when I get draw blow I always pick up the next note always.. Even when I close the gap between two notes. Help!
My friend has played taps with his trumpet for 1200 funerals , i was wondering what harmonica would harmonize with his trumpet. I think the trumpet is in the key of G. any help would be appreciate. I am new to the harmonica.
