Hear me out Noah. The umbro medusae pro is one of my go to boots for training and wet field conditions. Very similar to these ASICS. It’s a boot from 2016-17 ish, k-leather in the forefoot, light as any speed boot, decent comfort and lightweight responsive soleplate. Only things it was missing are a good synthetic leather for sides and a more plush heel liner for more comfort. Umbro had a good formula with the first Medusae. Anyway, you, Jay Mike and Pep are my idols. No particular reason!

Hi. I was buy Ultrezza 2 and they are great. Fit very well, touch is good. Transision between synthetic leather and real leather is ideal, better then Mizuno Morelia Beta. Sole is also perfect. I feel more faster player on AG type pitch. The last argument is the price - it is very affordable, even with shipping from Japan.
Thanks for the detailed review of another rather obscure boot, Noah! Ive been planning to get this boot but Ive been held back by the exposed mesh in the soleplate. Do you think that it would be sturdy enough to withstand wear and breakage from pitches that are littered with stones?
I went from being a tiempo, t90 and copa boots fans to an asic fan just by one purchase. The ds light x-fly 5. Seriously why do no pros wear it? It baffles me it's complete 😂. But for those who wanted to try I'd recommend the normal ds light since it's affordable at roughly 70-80$. Leather in the front synthetic by the mid. But it molds to ur feet like a subway wrap for wide feet. The drawbacks are: 1) it's limited to the Asian market not that many in the us. 2) if u plan on using them in AG pitches, be sure to no go that aggressive cuz it's leather. But overall, asics for me over nike and adidas bro. Thanks to noah🎉
I went TTS with x fly 5 and fit was perfect. way better than half size down. I think the toe shape is a little different in xflypro2, and in TTS they felt roomier than xfly 5 and not as secure heel. Very minimal differences otherwise. The one that fits your foot shape is the better one really.
Bought these boots on ebay because of your reviews, would have otherwise never thought to try Asics. I went down half a size, fits perfectly, very snug and will break in nicely because of the k leather. Can not reccomend these highly enough to anyone looking. Wore these yesterday for a pick up game and can confirm they are 🔥🔥🔥
If you’re playing on natural grass, can you feel a poke through the mesh part of the undercarriage sole of the shoe? They seem great. I just can’t figure out how to fix that mesh thing is under the cleats.
My burning question: Asics DS Light X Fly Pro 2 versus Asics X Fly 5. Which would you rather play in? So far as I can determine, the only real difference between them seems to be that the X Fly 5 has a heel lift, and the X Fly Pro 2 does not. Is that true?
@@NoahCavanaugh Oh, so then the X Fly 5 gets you up on the balls of your feet only by curving the forefoot of the soleplate up, I assume? I'm misinformed about the heel. Thank you for clarifying.

Debating between the X-Fly 5 and the X-Fly Pro2 for my son--a speedy rugby wing who does a lot of kicking. Has worn Tiempos for years and currently wears Miz Alphas. Wants lightweight boot. Should we consider the weight difference between the 5's and the 2 Pro's when deciding?
Love the asics review. Also how would you compare the mizuno morelia 2s with the adidas predator accuracy in terms of length and width? Im looking to get a pair of the mizunos but I have some worries about the fit.
Hey Noah do you know if Adler is going to start making more sizes for their next run/order of their boots? I have a pair of Yamatokyos but I could easily go down another half size so I don’t wanna start to use them if I can return and wait for a correct size. Currently their smallest size and a half size too big for me.

I don't mate, but the Pro 2 is slightly lighter than the X FLy 5. I don't pay much attention to the weight of the boot, because at this level of performance, it doesn't matter AT ALL. It fits my foot better 😂
Hi Noah, I made a comparisol between gx2 and the vapor 15. It was very strange because the vapor is a lot tider in general but fits wider/rounder in the toe box. I would love the gx2 mainly because of the supersoft upper. But the toe box is so pointy I don‘t understand why they made it like that?! Thats a huge issue in my opinion… what do you think about that?
