Thanks for the kind reply Tony. You are doing really great work, your lessons are really excellent and easy to follow and digest, I’m glad to have found your channel, I recommend you to my students and fellow learners at my wee community Guitar Group in Royston Glasgow, I’ve been running a group there for almost 2 years now. We use a space in the Spire Hub ( a local community centre ) every Thursday night for one hour, it’s mostly school kids, although anyone regardless of age and abilities would be welcome always. Any opportunity to learn and progress with guitar I tend to grab with both hands eh! You are a great role model for new players and the young kids there as I like to show them that guitar players have lots of alternative opportunities to earn something from passing on skills and knowledge. For me it’s just a great way of putting something positive into the local community. Really enjoying your channel Tony , and looking forward to learning more great lessons from you. All the very best wishes, Kindest regards Sam Vaughan

Aw Sam that made my day mate! Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback. I actually have a wee guitar school in Uddingston called Lanarkshire guitar jamz. You can look it up on Facebook. We make music videos, have concerts and they are my biggest fans 😂 again mostly young kids. I have an adult class on Tuesdays too so you are more than welcome to come along. I wouldn’t mind coming to Royston at some point too and have a wee jam! Maybe we can work together with concerts etc to give the kids something to work towards (I normally do them at Xmas) Anyways thanks for the support man. You don’t know how much I appreciate that 🙏🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🤘

that is the thing that makes life Kool. being accomplished it's something being proficient at who make other people take notice of you they may not know why they're taking notice of you but you're doing something that they can't do and I don't think a lot of people understand the time and effort that goes into learning this instrument. musicians are just smarter, wiser, Kinder, more intelligent people in general. Although they're usually introverts and single.

Great lesson! It's kind of funny that RU-vid's CC language generating software, probably because it was trained to recognize American English, keeps translating your "A" as "E" -- which may throw off some viewers if they've got Closed Caption Subtitles switched on. I happened to have that switched on and, at first, I thought the lesson was for a Blues in E, but the joke was on me. Tee-hee-hee!

I love that you said I dont what down/ups im doing. My kid is learning guitar and he's learning from youtube and he came to me and said " i cant seem to get the strumming right on this song. The down/up pattern is screwing me up" I said "The down/up pattern?" Turns out a lot of these channels are micro-training strumming! Fu**in ridiculous! I told him strumming comes from feeling. It should be automatic.

Nice lesson - as everybody seems to agree on. But even if you do not think that teaching rythm in ups and downs is the best way to learn, it is still the way a lot of people DO learn. Maybe you are just a little bit lazy or maybe a little bit arrogant. But you will leave a lot of people empty handed and frustrated, and they will go to other guitar sites where the rythm and the picking with the right hand is explained more in depth. But you got a lot of followers, so why bother with my grumpy comments?😉
@GuitarME
@GuitarME Год назад
It’s just the way I teach man :) I know it’s not for everyone but I try to teach rhythm by feel. Some songs I do teach the down ups but for funky stuff I don’t as my rhythm patterns change constantly. If you knew the work I put into these videos you wouldn’t call me lazy 🤗
@carstenbreum9981
@carstenbreum9981 Год назад
@@GuitarMEThanks for your answer. I understand and respect that a 100%. And as hope you understand I think your videos are great stuff!!!And I also like to watch them as I think you are very sympatico and got a fine sense of humour! But I still think it is a lazy approach to rythmic stuff that you are not able to explain what you are playing. Because I need that explanation to learn. I know a lot of people don't need it. But I do. I follow other sites where I can get it. But I would have liked you to do it, because your videos are so great in so many ways.
