Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro user here. Instructions do not work. However, if your intent is to play music during a workout (I guess in theory you could just turn it on even if you are not moving), you can switch between what music app is being used (tested between samsung music and youtube music apps) and have it play through the speaker. 1: First, open music app you want music from, choose playlist/song. 2. Start workout. 3. Swipe left to bring up music player, it should show a little icon with what app is being used and song last played in that app. 4. Hit play, should play from speakers.
@@AddictedBlogging it doesn’t show a thumbs up button or anything on the media controller, only if I use the RU-vid music app with songs I download. If I start a song from my phone, my watch defaults to the media controller to control what’s playing, but doesn’t give a like option, if I do same steps on Spotify, there a heart on the media controller
Yes the like option is there in the RU-vid Music App, the media controller default app does not come with like button, hope Samsung adds it in the later updates, its a very important feature to have.
@@AddictedBlogging hey am using RU-vid premium account but it take some time to update. Initially it didn't show the created play list later it showed in the watch. But again I didn't try to create another folder but not sure why it is taking much time
@@arpitbarjatya276 same here and when i play the playlist, i cant even see the list , just the name of the playlist, i cant select the song i wish to play
It sucks that we can load up the queue of songs so we can choose the exact song to play, but nonetheless thank you for your help, all this time I thought it was impossible to play RU-vid music through the watch speakers
The video was helpful. It seems like you need to use the watch's built-in media controller for most of the music apps. Samsung really should change this.
I wish this worked on the watch 5...any idea how to do it? Also with spotify without having to select the option on your phone. As soon as jou pause on your watch you can't play again directly from the watch. So frustrating.
Make sure you have updated the Spotify app on your phone and watch itself. Also, the phone should be connected with the watch and paired via Bluetooth and in the Spotify app the watch need to be selected in the playback device option. Once done try to play the music via the watch without connecting any TWS earphones, and let me know if issue persist.
You need to download the RU-vid Music app on your Android device and then you can switch playing it on your phone and watch, when the galaxy watch 4 will be connected.
