@@lokiofasgard312 I feel that, I mean I prefer necromancy over fel and demons myself but at this point it’s more likely class skins than an entire class.
The only thing that would make the game remotely exciting to play again, would be a proper cloth based necromancer class and the return of the scourge. The scourge was one of the main factions in WC3, and is gone since after WotLK.
Necromancer should have been the class added in shadowlands, we had just spent a whole expansion tangling with various undead, and then we go into an expansion full of death. The class could have incorporated the 4 types of undeath that we knew of at the time, Hemomancer: blood necromancer spec could have been a support dps, focused on sacrificing your blood, or the blood of your enemy to energize your spells, other two could be drust magic, a mix of both the dark aspects of druidism and necrotic magic. raising wicker beasts and creating dark pacts. And finally taditional necromancy we saw in the island expeditions and later on shadowlands.
@@GiangNguyen-uc3yv No warlocks have a clear domain that they get their magics from, Fel and Shadow, Necromancers would get their magic from undeath and either blood or life magic.
I hemomancer, necromancer and witch doctor... It would be so sick having a class called alchemist and those 3 specs. There's shit ton reference for all 3 even since warcraft 2 and 3 and in almost every expansion so far... We had blood magic trolls in vanilla, a lot of necromancy and blood magic in wrath, shadownlands, battle for azeroth....
@@GiangNguyen-uc3yvif that is the case whats so different between warlocks and hunters? Same goes for mages, priests, druids and more. Classes are part of the fantasy, not gameplay. And at the end of the day wow is a fantasy mmorpg, rpg stands for "roleplaying game"
After the Evoker, just about anything would make sense; there is no need to reason anymore; just name it: Ninja Turtle, Woody the Cowboy, Power Ranger, a Dentist, a Gynecologist, etc.
I remember being so hype about wows hero classes but I can’t remember if that was actually a real dev post or something cool from a April fools like the twin headed ogre race where you and another player controlled one body, at least they put it out in heroes of the storm.
Kel Thuzad was a mage and turned into a Necromancer. So it does make sense. If the mages wants to learn necromancy, they have to visit in Maldraxxus and be trained by the Necromancer God himself, the Primus.
@@dumb33 Nah, Warlocks rely on powerful beings for their magic. Necromancers use their own magic which is what a mage is... Also idk if fel magic is capable of bringing things to life...
guys never heard of warlocks personally i consider warlocks much like necromancers in concept due to them dealing with life and death thro summoning or raw force i view necromancy as just a person who left the schools of magic as an overall study to study a very specific type of magic dealing within the realm of life death and undeath magic types. which i feel like afflicition magic and demon summoning is pretty intune with those concepts
Necromancers could be like a tank healer and damage class and take a little inspiration from Diablo the tank could be like a bone golem form the damage and healing could be seperwte forms of a lich but I thought for a bit that they could also shapeshift into whatever like druids
I've been working on a necromancer. Blood Spec- Based on blood magic. Decay Spec- Based on Anti druid magic. Unholy Spec- Based on Warlock Demonology and DK Unholy mixed. Just make a new class that people will want to play; the game feels naked without the range spellcasters having the necromancer in their ranks.
Warlocks class fantasy is the original mage going to the magic used by hell/twisting nether to find forbidden magic. Necromancer would be the same mage but instead turning to the forbidden magic of the underworld/death. So he would be defiling corpses to raise minions and diseases to best his enemy instead of summoning creatures of demonic nature and cursing his enemies😊
Would have been interesting if they had a tank spec which specializes in using your raised dead to tank for you, a dps spec which focuses on a lot of weaker summons that deal a few hits and dissapear but produce lots of damage over time through bleeds from the minions and spells from the player and a healer spec that heals people by doing damage and sapping the lifeforce of enemies.
Lore reason? Gunther Arcanus Could do what the fuck he said he was going to do and teach us necromancy. And with the more neutralization of Lorderon could be cross-faction.
A proper Necromancer class would be so sweet. And they could swat several flies with one hit that way. Necromancy isn't just about bones, skeletons and zombies. It's also spirits and souls and blood and the energies of life and death themselves. You could easily use the Necromancer as a class to bring the bloodmage into wow. Yes, the Warlock has already gotten the soul and life siphoning, but I don't think it would be too much of an issue to have two classes use a similar power source, Necros probably wouldn't have soulshards, but maybe just poach the passive shield and a lot of lifeleech, one specc for skeletons (summoner style), one for bloodmagic (support, since that's possible now), one souls (burst damage), boom, done! ps. if you want to see some really creative use of Necromancy, or just a bunch of Necromancers doing cool shit, in a universe without the connotation that Necromancy is evil, read Gideon the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir. Great novel, and the sequel is even better.
@@BK-ku1zt seems like there are leaks from Blizzard speculating that in next exp we'll have witch doctor as new class... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7rNFgcNAc00.html will be interesting to see what specs it will have
Imo they should add Blademaster, Warden or Tinker instead, DK kinda stole Necromancers identity and I can't imagine the class being any different from warlocks or shadow priests.
To be honest, I suspect ds necorma comes as warlock spac at all. 1 warlock have banish 2. warlock use soul shards 3. The fabric suits the necomacer better than the plate. 4. the necomacn as a caster is an int class 5. If you look at the class style, you can already see a lot of agreement with Hexer Lor technically would also be more sin do that with knowledge about souls and new knowledge from shadow land maybe even close a pack with primus to hunting dread lords and other undead who escaped shadow land to capture again. Then comes the sorcerers who belong to horde peoples, lore knows, magicians who learn and use forbidden magic... that only demonic magic if necomanti was also forbidden is improbable. It would rather mean that inexperienced witchers couldn't deal with nercotiosch magic and therefore specialized in well-known spac demonic nature. After what was learned in the shadowlands. could you use this lost art again. The rune magic of the DK, on the other hand, has little to do withnercotiosch magic and would probably not differ much from the unholy spac because apart from permanent ranged combat, this spac does most of what a nercomacer would do apart from permanent ranged combat
I feel that blizzard is sleeping on a great support/dps spec on this, necromancy is not the magic that animates, is the magic that tampers with life, for example, you could make a false life or atribute that taxes the user/party member after the effect ends, or a magic user that enfeebles the senses and capabilities of their enemies through this, and of course, animating the dead could be a mechanic of this class archetype
I wish I wish I wish.... this was my favourite unit in WC3 and if we get this in wow I'm buying the meat launcher mount and that's me for life. I will even move to horde, which I don't play
A cool ability for necromancers would be, if people die in a raid and there’s no brez, they could raise everyone from the dead and have them come back and do like 50% damage or something like that
That's not a side ability. All unholy spec are around it. There is affliction warlock for curses and unholy DK for revive. Nothing left for necromansers.
To me it always sounded as lazy class design. They could have made each spec of death knights different from the other, such as unholy beeing the necromancy one, having high magic resistance and the ability to raise the dead, frost beeing the tanky version of the class, with high physical resistance, and blood as the health stealing damage dealer.
I really feel like a Necromancer would just be a ranged Unholy DK. Unholy are already Necromancers. That's not a side ability for Unholy. That's their entire point.
You don’t need lore explanation for Necromancers. Just look at shadow priest or warlock. But sadly game has not that many mechanics, that would make this class unique. Necromancer would be better as a specc for mages, because they share the same knowledge hungry trope of mages and would use many reskinned mage spells anyway.
No... a Necromancer is much more complex and different to a Death knight and the two shouldn't be in the same class, Necromancer should be it's own thing or a warlock class spec/skin, that would be like paladins getting a cleric spec instead of a priest.
