sander allik Ur a suburban kid that dont know hip hop. From 2007-2008 every rapper was saying this hook in their songs. U internet kids hate Wayne but real hip hop head knew he ran the game from 2005-2009
2007 was Wayne's peak year. He was the biggest artist in the WORLD. Everything he touched was platinum. Number 1 album, EVERYONE wanted him on their song. There was a point where Wayne was on the radio 8 out of 10 songs on the rotation. His Drought 3 mixtape the year before sold more than everyone else's albums. No hip hop artist had ever dominated like that before or after.
@@jaquaveonandress649 yeah I would say 07-08. 2008 is when the Carter 3 came out but by 2007 Wayne was recognized as the best in the game. 07 is when he dropped a mixtape every 2 weeks and when he dropped the drought 3 that was the best music he ever recorded. Upgrade you, zoom, top back ect. All those songs were on the drought 3. EVERYONE was listening to that mixtape.
He DEFINITELY made sure he wasn't in Ludas shadow. He understood the importance of being his own man. It's hard to even remember he was even a part of DTP.
A song is timeless when you can play it in a club where people may have never heard it and they think it just came out. This is that. Shit still hits in 2023
@@GeronimoPlaz wow, I can't believe you said that out loud. In 2019, the Median Household Wealth: White - $188,200, Latino - $36,100, Black - $24,100. how do you explain the wealth gap between whites and blacks?
Lil wayne sung tf outta this hook Lil Wayne dun took off HAM ON THIS RIGHT HERE! a u t h e n t I c v i e w s dun took his career off 2 the next level fr fr no cap
Deadlift workout music right here 💖 *a u t h e n t I c v i e w s* 💖 dun took Playaz Circle oFf 2 da big leagues and for dat I will always be super grate
Lil Wayne is the most complete rapper of all time.. Chorus, verses, catchers, bangers, hittas, some rock n roll shit, story telling, reggae, some slow shits and more.. I can't even complete how different thangs he is in mayn! And he did succeed in all of dem! No 🧢
I never in my life realized Wayne ain’t have a verse on this song until right now 😂I was 14 when this came out I’m 28 like whaaat I was singing the chorus for my life and apparently so was he
Most of their hits were before 2010. The Carter 3 was what everyone was listening to the summer before my senior year. Went to myrtle beach and was cruising on the strip and at least 1/3 of every vehicle was bumping it
You ain't lying either. Really from Carter 2 till Drake came into the scene and guess what... Lil Wayne had his fingerprints ALL over that too. Jay Z Who? Eminem Who? Kanye West Who? Lil Weezyana our Tupac. The only other rapper who had a handle on the rap game slightly before that was TI (should've won Album of the Year over Ludas bitch ass)
@@EarthAngel__1111 lean, molly, and whatever else he was on at that time. I remember when I 1st noticed he always had that styrofoam cup and ALL his videos. I knew it was downhill from there
Well this song was when he transitioned to the 2chains flow which is a even more simplified lil Wayne flow lol but tity boi didn't rhyme this way before he came back into the scene
Armani Smith or simply he made so much music he has super high standards. Birdman holding him back, C5 going to be HUGE! Also he's older, most people who heard him grew up and have families, tons of teenagers hear him. Now they hear Kodak and new rappers. It's a natural thing. But hearing Wayne in his prime, you were lucky kids today won't know mixtape Weezy.
Honestly.. this era has something special too cause future, Kendrick, Drake & lil baby.. not to mention, Durk, Rod wave, Kevin gates, and many many more are ready. 🎯🎰🏆🥇🥈🥉🏅🎖️🎗️🎤🎬🎹🎼🎧💎🫡✊🏾💪🏾
Wayne used to be so good...and that's no disrespect to the artist he is now...but damn weezy was in his prime back in this era and I grew up with this shit he was THE guy
+Barry Timony Crazy thing is, for me, I saw Tune grow up and NEVER expected what he would become by '08. Most people will never hear most of the free music he released around then but a lot of it was high level and all of it was his (not copying other sounds).
