Playbox is a powerful Native Instruments plugin that combines chords with sample layering and randomization at the roll of a dice. In this video I demonstrate all Playbox Presets inside Komplete Kontrol that come with Playbox, as well as, each individual Chord and Chord Set for each Preset within Playbox.
I play each preset one time through with their default sounds and chord sets in this video. But keep in mind any part of the Chord Sets, Sample Layers, and FX can be interchanged with all the other presets for a nearly infinite number of sound combinations. And you can save your own presets in the Preset Browser!
How Playbox Works:
The cubes on the main page are individual samples. They can be a bass, voice, instrument, noise, synth or your own samples. Each sample plays an individual pitch and together they form a chord. There are 8 chords per set for each preset and you can choose from 200 different chord sets. You can also record your own chord sets or import your own MIDI chords.
The sample library in Playbox has around 900 samples divided over different categories. You can spot which samples belong to the different categories by the style of the cube. You can also load your own samples into Playbox.
You can randomize all parts of playbox from the Chord Set, to Samples, and FX at the roll of a dice.
