In my quest to record all things at Disney in the early 2000's, I taped this show before having kids, which was not awkward at all. Grown man in a preschool show taking videos. Okay. Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage went through different versions as popular shows debuted. In this version from 2003 you will see Bear in the Big Blue House, Rolie Polie Olie, Stanley, and The Book of Pooh. The host, Jamie, leads the kids through different Playhouse Disney shows. The audience gets to dance, spin, and hop with their favorite characters. About a month after this taping, Playhouse Disney opened at Disney's California Adventure.
Playhouse Disney - Live on Stage opened at MGM on Oct. 1, 2001, replacing Bear in the Big Blue House - Live on Stage. In 2005 JoJo's Circus replaced Rolie Polie Olie. In 2008 Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, Handy Manny, and Little Einsteins replaced older shows. On March 4, 2011 the new Disney Junior: Live on Stage opened and that show featured newer shows like Jake and the Neverland Pirates. On Dec. 22, 2018 the Disney Junior Dance Party debuted featuring Doc McStuffins, Vampirina, Timon, and Mickey Mouse.
Not being a watcher of Playhouse Disney, I spent a lot of time looking up in the rafters trying to find remnants of the 1990s Catwalk Bar.

I remember watching Playhouse Disney when I was a little toddler! I'm 21 now, but I still love it! I watched Bear in the Big Blue House, Doodlebops, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, The Book of Pooh, Rolie Polie Olie, Koala Brothers, Jojo's Circus, Higglytown Heroes, and others! Please bring this attraction back to Disney World, but constructed in a new area, and with additional shows, including The Doodlebops, Bear in the Big Blue House, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, The Book of Pooh, etc., so that we can revisit our nostalgic childhood! Disney doesn’t own the distribution rights to some of those anymore, no rights equals using their characters is illegal.

I don't know what compelled me to type in 'Playhouse Disney Live on Stage 2002' and hit enter, but I did and I was able to relive something that lives in my memories. Thank you so much for bringing me back to August 2002 to my only Disney trip, reliving memories with my father who is no longer with us

@@MagicalHijinx This was in the current Disney Junior theater, behind Brown Derby, next to Star Wars Launch Bay, in the Animation Courtyard. On the right when you walk through the archway. Don’t know why this gets a lot of views, but I was in my 20s when I filmed it, just to have it documented. I didn’t really know who the characters were. 😂 Glad I captured it though.

@@MagicalHijinx Thanks to Disney for allowing a 20 year old with a video camera to come in and sit on the floor with a bunch of toddlers. Not creepy at all. Hahah. I filmed an updated version in 2008, but by then I had 2 toddlers of my own, so less creepy.

I have not seen or heard this show since the last time I saw it in person many years ago when I was a kid❤ I grew up watching all these shows and this show was the highlight of my Disney day as a kid so seeing again literally after having not seen or heard it since the last time I was there way back the early 2000s made me smile so much

I wish they had a PB&J otter segment in the show, they had the puppets of the characters in the stars and motor cars parade in the playhouse Disney float but that’s it

When was this? 2005 or 2008? Because 2005 saw the first renovation of the attraction where “Rolie Polie Olie” was replaced with “JoJo’s Circus” and 2008 was where everything that was there at the time (except the “Winnie the Pooh” segment, which got updated to the back then recent TV show of the franchise “My Friends Tigger & Pooh”) including long-time hosting show “Bear in the Big Blue House” got replaced by “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse”, “Handy Manny” and “Little Einsteins”.
