Hey brother, im glad that this is an actual technique with a name! I've been doing this for years now and all my guitar buddies would say that it doesn't count as fast playing individuals notes. Hey Bernth, I'm not 100% positive about this, but I recently read on Reddit that Shawn Lane could string skip around 24 notes per second. Does that sound like something you could attempt to beat as a challenge? He's the best guitarist I've ever seen (no offense lol), but you're also a master of melody not far behind him in my opinion. He's not very well known, but still absolutely legendary in skill, and by legendary I mean inhumanly fast and clean. But considering your knowledge, something tells me you've heard his name before.

It's all about the picking hand, isn't it? The chord changes are easy compared to the uniform precise attack required by the picking hand. Triples are great for packing a lot of notes into a few measures, eh? As a lifelong player, there are only about half a dozen guitar player channels on RU-vid that I watch. Yours is one of them, because you know what you're talking about. Good luck on the tour! Once again - Break a leg!

This type of picking makes me think of the one dude from omnific, when he moves his plucking hand back and forth on the string to play some faster and involved lines, but this was so melodic and not just some fast guitar tremolo guitar wankery
