I just realized the squirrel changes their expression when sacrificed. It goes from a happy little to a shocked and scared one. Just take a closer look when he places two squirrels and sacrifices one.

Yes but I used them often as a defensive line. An enemy strikes the squirrel and prevents my character taking damage on that turn.

I know! I nearly screamed when he passed up on it. He kept making poor decisions unfortunately and that's why he died.

He doesn't ready the effects, neither of his own cards nor the enemy's. I like the dude, but damn! Was that hard to watch for someone that likes card games.

The adder is also a very strong card (not nearly as good for most of the game but it is clutch for the moon)

Good as it may be, sacrificing the adder is much better.

i mean the tooth extraction could be a real thing just a in game item that doesnt require you to actually pull a tooth and just lets you add a tooth to your enemy's scale (lets be honest besides the cringe of the thought of pulling a tooth you dont lose anything useing it while playing the game so why would you in the card game)

I was a little upset that he didn't use the cat for so long. You use him as a sacrifice if you need something to be more useful.

That is not really true tho.... it's not bad but its pales in comparison to what you can get after the first 3 runs. Don't get me wrong, a 7/7 for 2 blood that has a mantis attack is fairly good for a 2nd run card just from the stats alone, but the soul cards get MUCH stronger later on. A 7/7 with one good effect is FAAAAAAAAAR from being a top tier card. I personally like my free 15/15 Tripple attack card that returns to your hand when you kill it. Ouroboros and God Mantis is one hell of a drug :P For example, you can get soul cards for free by buying a lot of pelts which makes FTK quite common. You can get ALOT more stats than just 7/7 later with things like Ouroboros or the Mycologist NPC that lets you combine the stats of two cards of the same type. And as I mentioned split attack is good, but you can fairly easily get 2 effects on cards ( even 3-4 effects on some cards ) Some effects are also a lot more useful than attacking twice too, there is even a flat out a better version of the effect that lets you attack 3 tiles instead of two. The cat is one of the most powerful cards in the game and should help carry you if you have problems. ( but offering the adder to the turtle is a good start too ) Any soul card with the cat´s effect is a good card regardless unless you make the soul cards a 3 cost for some reason...

I beat past prospector and angler on my first try even with the "too fast, too soon" on angler XD but then the trapper too fast too soon is wayyy too hard and just annihilates you since you can't trade pelts for any of his cards.

@@fallis07 trapper is same as Angler but yeah I hear you. the mechanic makes sense though. it'll even happen when youre forced to lose a life to get the candle in the first place but honestly you do need that candle to get free smoke card lol.

As someone who has already beaten the game, it's quite the trip.
