This was such a good topic & I think a lotta people would agree how old school bands like Nemesis, Artcell, Aurthohin, Warfaze have had crucially impacted the first rock 'n roll & heavy metal wave in Bangladesh. But who knew a monster like Oni bhai was in making that time. It'd be even greater if you talk about your international guitar influences someday which titillated the beast in you.

Hi Oni, I am Arka from Kolkata. This is my first comment in any of your videos as I just subscribed yesterday...you are doing awesome work with your videos....Thank you! Now I used to think I am aware of most of the songs from Bangladeshi Bands but felt I was terribly wrong when I heard the song Obocheton yesterday for the first time...and since then I think I have heard it over 50 times till now....I am still blown away by the song and cant seem to get over it.....the tune is addictive....and I don't think I need to emphasize Maher Khan's contribution in the song! - Its a pity that he doesn't play any more! Cant imagine the kind of things he would have played, had he continued! It makes me sad thinking that we could have got so much more in addition to Obocheton, had he continued.

Playing obocheton was everyone's dream at that point of time because of the lyric and composition. I remember getting my first acoustic guitar and dukkho bilash (Artcell) was released. That intro and pluck-in was the jam.
We were very lucky that we watched Great Ershad and Maher khan were playing in their finest time. unfortunately today's kids will never understand how good they were.

Every time I meet a friend from another country, I make them listen to Obocheton. So far, I have friends from Indonesia, India, Hong Kong, USA, Costa Rica, and Pakistan who have just loved this song and listen to it on repeat. Now that I have your validation Oni Bhai, I'll continue this! lol
Song name was Onnoshomoy. Here is my part of how this song made me buy a guitar on same that day. Well i was shopping at Bashundhara city and suddenly a shop was playing this song really loud. It was not even on the CD floor. It was just a cloathing shop. Forgot the name. And when artcell started did the first strum it hit my ear so hard i was like what the hack just happened. The riff could instantly make anyone feel an an adranaline rush within. So ya, i thought it would be cool to play something like that. So went to world music and bought a signature. I didnt even knew who the artist was that day. So i searched those lyrics on Google in bangla, but that time there was not that many site that had lyrics posted. I thought the name of the song was artonad but it wasn't 😂. So after few days i went to a cd shop and found that same song playing and i was like, ei Album ta din. Ya this is one of those songs that made a whole generation loose themselves into music (In a good way). It was good times. I guess its a long comment but this song deserved it. It is sad they broke up into pieces and now we see different people on different stage calling themselves "Artcell".

Obocheton full song shikhsi onek koshte but couldn’t manage to learn the solo yet. But the fact is I left music years ago and I forgot nearly everything. That’s one of the sad stories of mine.
