Jelly, if you make a blast furnace you can smelt iron faster but it will cost five iron ingot and three smooth stone (to make smooth stone, you need to smelt cobblestone and then smelt it again). And to make a smoker, you need four logs and a furnace, smokers will let you cook food faster.(forgot to mention that the blast furnace also needs a furnace in the middle)
