I don't listen to electronic/dance music but I always liked Daft Punk, they have so many great songs (my favourite has always been Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger. Definitely an absolute jam) and all are great to jam on. Also I still need to watch that Interstella 555 movie, it's been on my bucket list for so long but I never know where to find it

My left ear enjoyed the live bass snippets.

Really fun and insightful video as always. It's quite niche bit I'd personally love a video on Scott Reeder of Kyuss. Incredible bassist who's influenced by his years as a drummer and trombonist

You need to include some very influential bass players in your series... Carole Kaye James Jamerson Bootsy Collins Leland Skar True, these aren't necessarily the bassists that inspire today's musicians, but they are the ones that inspired the ones you have covered. (Apologies if you have covered them and I've missed their videos)

Bass habits is a rather good series indeed. Might I tempt you to do an episode about James Johnston from Biffy Clyro?

Epic videos as always. Would love to see you do a video on Dave Riley from Big Black

been a huge fan of Daft Punk since first buying Da Funk on vinyl back in the 90s. That track shook the house music scene, and as a DJ you somehow had to bring that slow stomper into your otherwise much faster sets. It was just so different, and phat sounding. I instantly bought Indo Silver Club, also on Soma Records and we then eagerly awaited the Homework album. That one, along with Discovery, are true ground breakers. Must have albums. Discovery is the pinnacle of sampling music to this date. Absolutely listen to "face to face" and see how they composed a complete track out of many other song parts. They were truly a remarkable band, and that in a musical subculture setting where people tend to know the individual tracks better than the artists creating them.

Ciao Paul!!

Wow, I'm now just realizing why daft punks music is so captivating and groovy... It's the bass!

I like the bass line to around the world by daft punk. Pretty basic but sounds really good and cool. I also thought of what would be a cool bass habit video idea. A video of Justin Morrow from Motionless In White. A really cool detuned bass tone.

Love the videos, could you go in depth on the bass of CAKE? They’ve had a few bass players throughout the years but i would love the breakdown.

CAKE is one of my favorite bands with some of my favorite basslines ever. I absolutely love the bassline in CAKES cover of I will Survive

Can you make next a video of Chris Slorach (METZ) or Pavel Kozlov (Molchat Doma)?
