Just came along to say, your touring vlog videos popped up in my recommended feed. I don't know the first thing about worship music, but your personality and production keeps me watching. Thanks for all the great insight, Keep it up!
The bass is plugged into the transmitter part, the receiver part plugs in your amp! You got it the wrong way around Travis but we'll forgive you because you're our wonderful friend on RU-vid and a truly inspirational bass player and educator, not a tech nerd! 😊 P.S. The output jack of a bass is not an input. NEVER connect the speaker output of your amplifier into that socket 😭
i am actually an aspiring bass player (who is a sound guy) and seeing that you can use this with a bass just blows my mind! my church uses it as a wireless mic and i can definitely say it’s pretty reliable. great work and may God bless you!
I do audio mixing at my church. And I use quit a few Sennheiser cordless microphones. What you should do is turn the receiver ( with the antennas ) to maximum. And start with the transmitter ( to your bass ), at a low volume ( - 15db ). Turn your bass volume to a level where you would normally have it when you are playing at a gig ( 50%, 60% even 70% ). Then start to bring the transmitter ( plugged into bass ) volume up, to where you are satisfied. Doing it this way should help you with the small hissing you were getting. Also should give you the cleanest sound even on a wireless system. Just thought I could help!
I once rode through Paducah, KY as a child on the Greyhound bus and just thought that was the funniest name for a town. But, they're no joke with that concert setup, the wireless rig fits that environment.
Thank you for the space-like algorithm that made it possible to see good videos. The scent of your video still lingers in the early morning cafe window while I am watching your video, so I play the guitar and play the harmonica. How much devotion and effort did you put into your heart so that I couldn't break my heart from seeing you immersed in such a wonderful and beautiful image? I enjoyed your video as beautiful as a star and happy as a dream. I hope your video will bloom as a flower in my heart and stay as a flower of undying love for a long time. When I saw your video, I secretly approached my lonely heart, planted love, and walked alone on the fallen leaves in autumn, immersed in my memories. Thanks to your video, I would like to give you my sincere and sincere praise and support for your precious relationship. No one cares, sad and lonely in my dream of playing guitar and harmonica, there is no hope at all, but when the light of the blue dawn that is coming another day illuminates my heart, I hold my old guitar in my arms and gently put a cold harmonica on my lips. I sit alone in the middle of the dark morning and play the harmonica and guitar. When I first see your video I met by chance, I can feel a beautiful love coming from somewhere. I'm looking at your video like a dream... Do you have a wonderful talent that is full of the strange charm of video? I am amazed at the excellence of your skills and thank you for taking the time to melt my heart warmly because of your sincerity and hard work in watching the video. Your video really touches my heart. Even if I watch it over and over again, it is your video that I want to watch over and over again. By chance, as the algorithm introduced, I just looked down and suddenly the first picture caught my eye, so I looked up again and saw your video. I think I was obsessed with your video. The quality is good and the best.
Shure equipment has been one of the most reliable equipment(for the pro audio market) when I was doing sound. Unfortunately the price also reflects that. I'm using some cheap Nux wireless setup but it's not so reliable. That rechargeable battery with power reading feature is awesome. We used to use 9 volts and pray that the battery won't die halfway for our wireless microphones.
The Shure unit is probably great. I've used the Line 5 unit for a few years now and it has performed flawless and very compact. So accustomed to wireless now that I'd probably trip up if I went back to cables.
The reason I went with this one was because many of my touring friends didn’t have good reviews about that model when it comes to touring and using it a big gigs. I haven’t had a chance to check it out for myself, but I would definitely like to check it out though!
Hey Travis, did you notice and tone differences with this? I run a compresser/limiter pedal when using a cable but wondering if I would have to adjust or turn off for wireless?
