Battlefield: Hardline is one of those "video game logic" games. It's goofy as hell, but it has a lot of charm, I just wish there were more heist servers. Bank Job is one of the best Infantry maps in all of Battlefield.
I have commented this in damn near every BF video ever. Hardline was a good game and way ahead of its time. It’s a shame it came out right behind BF4. If it came out after BF1 or even now it’d blow up and do so good
Ive seen a lot of people say this and while it’s release Frame definitely has an effect on revenue, I don’t think the premise is any more or less revolutionary based on its prequel. The concept of the game doesn’t fit battlefield for most. It would be smarter to market it as a cops and robbers game as opposed to being part of a franchise built off of military settings. I don’t think it was ahead of its time, it was just a game that should have gotten its own developer and a better marketing team. Wasn’t terrible by any means. I feel like they misjudged the niche.
I still don't understand why people hated BF:H, honestly found it fun as hell. Seeing a police chase drifting through a warzone while blasting "Sound of da police" was fucking sick! I also thought having a cops and robbers take on BF was a cool idea and it as cool to see a switch up the modern mood.
It was the majority of the fan base just whining that the guys weren't wearing camos and there wasnt tanks and jets. Honestly one of the best things about the game was the serious lack of heavily armoured OP vehicles. An occasional apc is way better than 5 or 6 enemy tanks camping hills on golmud railway imo.
It was because the game was leaked when BF4 was still broken. It was full price plus premium on top of it. And I'll admit it basically is a BF4 dlc. I think if it was priced at half price and didn't have premium. It would've done better. Hardline had a fuck ton of quality of life improvements that actually went back into BF4
I live BF. As far back as Vietnam on pc. With this title nobody I usually play with got into the cops and robbers theme and skipped it. I think that’s the main reason it tanked
Honestly it was a far more enjoyable game than Battlefield 5 or Battlefield 1. I honestly believe that if this game came out after BF5 or BF1, the community narrative would have been pretty different about it.
Everyone is like “one of the most underrated BF games” or “the memories” why not go back and play it? There are still full lobbies and people playing this game.
@@connorbranscombe6819 i only stopped because i moved from ps3 to ps4 and didnt buy it again because people said it was dead. Honestly my favorite battlefield after 4
Pretty late but this is the BF game I had most fun in, I was a tryhard back in 2018-2019. Destroying other people in a car with your squad in it while the radio is at max volume was fun af.
Just jamming to the random radio songs while you and your squad hunt down the enemy’s hardline car was AMAZING! I remember how even grinding for guns was fun because of how they did it.
For real. Only problem with the beta was that DICE presented pretty much everything that would be available in the full game, save for a few maps, leaving almost nothing new to be discovered. People wanted more, but they found it was just the beta all over again.
@@zReva Yeah, and I'm pretty sure you could use it literally as many times as you wanted, as long as it wasn't a headshot or an explosion (or was it a roadkill?) that killed you. Good times.
I had a blast, driving around with my friend blasting "fuck the police" while being chased by two cars was so fucking fun. Also like the literal Ocean Eleven heists we did, grabbing the case jumping off the building and picking him up with helicopter mid air.
Any time i hop in the car as swat i put that on. And just drive around the map dropping teammates off. I pray the criminals dont kill me while im vibin
HELP MY!!! My muscles are too big! I am a big tall man and my muscles are even BIGGER! I use them to get views but they HURT so much!!! Because they are heavy. Do you have any advice, dear na
Never played this game, but it has a really unique look, and some cool mechanics like the grappling hook. It seems way ahead of its time with the gun bench.
to enjoy this game you have to forget that it's a battlefield game, because it plays so differently like a different franchise. I personally have fond memories playing this with my friends :)
The only criticism for this game was that the ttk is too short and that the maps are too small. I personally think this is the 2nd best bf after BF4. People said it doesn't feel like a bf game. Which is BS imo. Enjoyed it very much.
@@maksymilian4000 yeah pretty much my main complaint was maps were too small felt like the sandbox was simplified a bit but still fun it was a nice change
I don't care what anyone says. This is a battlefield game. I'm sick and tried of people saying it would be good if this was not a battlefield game. I'm sorry but this is one of the best games of the series.
Haven't stopped playing. I loved the game from the start. Yes, it wasn't your typical battlefield game but it has some amazing gun play with some great maps.
I never understood all the hate it got. It fixed a lot of the complaints the community had about bf4 (fixed vehicle spam and made them less powerful), and even innovated on the gameplay a really good amount with the introduction of zip lines and grappling hooks. I used to get made fun of for liking this game, LMAO. I still stick by it tho. Also, rescue was a really good game mode, I don't give a shit what anyone says.
Its so sad how battlefield games do not recieve as much attention. Every Battlefield game is just exactly what pure fun and chaos should look like. With all those big maps too. I haven't played none of them but I am a fan and I'd have loved to play it a lot if I could.
I love how in this one they did Matimi0s “bing bong”, Neebs Gaming’s Jeep Stuff song and the Neebs “mediiiic” This was a fairly decent game back in the day
One of the most underrated battlefield games in my opinion I highly recommend getting it if you have a xbox than gamepass ultimate you get it and all battlefields for free and for playstation Idk what to do
This was actually my most played BF game! I know everyone else hated it cause it didn’t feel like the other games but it’s still my favorite to this day.
This was actually my most played BF game, didnt like it at launch, but then gave it a try, played with my friends And it became one of my fav fps games. Critically underrated imo
You are right, but only because people are dumb. Who cares about the title of a game. If it was called unicorn kitty surprise it would change nothing about gameplay
I see this so much, but nobody would have bought some random game called Hardline, people don't look into shit, it's easier for them to slap Battlefield and have an immediate playerbase, than call it Hardline and have people be like "uhhh is this Battlefield, what is this, why isn't this Battlefield"
Hard line had so many cool and creative additions but were removed from future games because the game "flopped". They could have used so many of those additions in all other games.
@@enjoi9970 Battlefield to me is big battles based on wars that have happened or could possible happen, this includes the weapons and vehicles of that era. That’s literally it. Had an argument with a guy complaining about infantry only maps being remade. I said it’s great as it provides more content and I personally like infantry only maps. Dude starts ranting about what battlefield is and isn’t, what belongs and doesn’t. Like calm the fuck down, if you want to be one shot by a jet or tank because “that’s what battlefield is” then be my guess but at least respect the fact there are multiple game ideas that can be introduced.
I LOVED this game! The only thing this game suffered from was having Battlefield in the name lol. Expectations and snobbery pretty much did it in. It was great fun.
This is wild. I remember trying to play this a few months ago, and there was only ever ONE server in the whole world that had players on it. Everyone around the world had to play with each other. Sometimes i would get lucky and it would be in the NA servers. To see this influx of players im already re-downloading this because this was an underrated game,
Fond memories of playing BF Hardline, I even remember playing the beta on the Bankjob map. It was around the time when I was really into Payday 2, so to have a PvP Battlefield Cops vs Robbers game sounded epic to me. It's a shame non of my friends played it, and I only played it for a few months. But BF Hardline was seriously underrated, and it's pretty much forgotten about now.
I think if they didn’t title it as a battlefield game maybe just a spin-off it would’ve done better and not looked so down upon. Underrated game forsure
I remember the campaign was fun but not memorable at all. Unlike with other Battlefield they didn't wanna go the Horrors of the battlefield and losing your comrades route but instead focused on full out action. For me Battlefield 1 was the best campaign because they did a really good job at telling those little warstories instead of one big campaign.
man that tear gas effect would be pretty cool if it made a return. some of the animations and effects in this game are really good, it would be nice to see a return to crowd control oriented effects in shooters
Keep the hardline content coming until 2042 is out also the gun bench was grossly underrated the creations people made should deserve a showcase on its own
I wish they would just release this for free, so it would get a proper playerbase. The game was fun, but most people skipped it, due to thinking it should have been an expansion for BF4. The cops and robbers stuff didn't bother me. I liked a lot of the maps, and the TTK was great.
