Unlikely to be smurfing: Someone who has worked themselves up to 2500 genuinely isn't likely to tarnish their reputation by intentionally falling into fool's mates.

Nice discipline to keep playing on days you're not feeling it. Casually destroying 2100+'s on sick days :). I think aspects of your game are already well above 2000, so it's only a matter of time and playing more games before your rating catches up to it.

tbh i try and film ahead of time enough some that i dont have to do that but when it must be done it must be done! thanks! i think im on my way to 2000, hopefully before day 365 but we shall see! i def think this 2100 just had an off game missing that one move and then the skill gap isnt so much that hes able to win a piece down. unlucky for him but props to myself for staying calm and converting!

Just overlooked that the knight can block the check, even I didn't see it until he gave that check hahaha

Love that you shared the little snippet of the cheater at the beginning, it reminds me that I need to do a better job of checking my opponents profile, awesome game though!

It's definitely worth doing. Another thing I look for is if they've literally only played rapid, some accounts don't even have blitz/bullet ratings when you pull their account up and I feel that's another red flag bc who doesn't screw around sometimes??

Nah, don't judge this guy based off this game. He wouldn't be 2000+ rated with thousands of games if he didn't deserve it. He had a bad game, missed a move I had like we all do

6:00 I would take the knight then take the rook, three pieces for the queen is usually better. Then he gave a check with the rook after losing the knight, I would take agin, getting the rook and bishop also. A rook and a queen will not beat the rest of pieces u have if you can consolidate.

yeah but the problem is that the queen is basically my only developed piece so i didnt really wanna go into that. pretty much everything is winning here but i just wanted to stay as solid as possible. with my king in the center and all my pieces undeveloped i didnt think that was the best choice

It was a piece and a rook for the queen. It would've been winning still but I felt with the weak king and lack of development then maybe it could've been a harder conversion. I'm happy with my decision

@ApexChesss i meant in total and dont get me wrong i didnt mean to criticize your decision black is down two pieces most move wins and now that i checked with engine in fact thats not the best move(still +4.5) but i always had a fasination for 3 pieces for a queen and having an extra rook is a dream come true

@@sahan.dafcha ahhh I see what you're saying. Yeah you have an overwhelming amount of pieces for their 2 heavys. If all my pieces were developed then I actually believe that would've been the best move

but it seems strange how poorly the 2100 played, like i get we’re all human and make mistakes. but how can a 2100 play that badly even on a bad day?

He obviously just missed that the knight can block the check and everything past that was just him hoping for some chances and hoping I'd fall for a trick. Sucks but the reality is these strong opponents blunder too
