I love something different that is good like this. The banjo is a awesome instrument that like just wait for people like david here to come along and release the animal to let it show what it can do
wow, banjos can range from a few hundred to a few thousand .. depends wat kind plectrum, tenor, or 5string like his.. but the brand is a huge factor too
You're excellent at the banjo! I don't know how to play, but I really just love the sound of the Banjo. Your voice also seemed to fit your selections very well :).
Well it depends on what you want to play. Learn what you will want to play for years to come. The banjo is easier to learn but is harder to master than the guitar. The guitar has a broader music selection, but the banjo is just fun. Hope this helps.
I really enjoy this video, and love your style(s) and approach. Just a small thing: Rock and Roll differs from Rock in that the former has a triplet or swing feel. The term is used pretty loosely these days, so I guess it's acceptable in common usage. Nice to remember our music history tho' eh? Good luck with your CD I will check it out. You rock !! Hey love your playing in fact I was wondering if u could help me with something. I'm a high level gymnast and I need music to dance to, and well I live in the country on a farm . People say your music should fit your personality, so I was hoping you could mix those song together without the word. If so thank, but if you can't I understand.
@jazza279 good luck with the banjo, but it's a lot harder than it looks. I play banjo and guitar and banjo is far harder. You have to worry about the rolls you do with your picking hand, which makes it difficult.
If anyone could help my out with this it'd be greatly appreciated, um having trouble keeping my pinky and ring finger anchored on the banjo while I try to pick. Any ideas on how to correct this?
+Tony Schultz I just keep my pinky down and leave my ring finger up with the rest. There are a few banjo players that play this way and it's not going to effect your playing. I would just keep practicing some basic finger Rolls and force your pinky down. Practice makes perfect. Hope this helped, keep working hard!!
