The different versions of Nuketown are based on the era that the game takes place in The original was based on a pop up town used during WW2 to test nuclear bombs, but they kind of “modernized” the town to fit the 60s aesthetic Black Ops 1 had Black Ops 2 was in the future so it took on a futuristic aesthetic, but still kept the WW2 feel by making it the WW2 era imagining of the future similar to what Fallout is designed after Black Ops 3 was the furthest in the future so they made it hyper futuristic to fit, but also acknowledged that the story took place all in a simulation by making the map a simulation as well, which is why the floor, the vehicles in mid, and some of the walls looked glitched and had floaty pixels on them Black Ops 4’s was unique because despite being a mid point between 2 and 3, most of the maps didn’t really acknowledge that era. So they took a huge twist on it and went back to the era from Black Ops 1, but made it a Soviet testing site as a sort of antithesis to the original And Cold War took the original nuketown and showed it as an abandoned site since there wasn't really anymore nuclear testing being done there. And to fit the 1984 feel, they also had it vandalized and graffiti'd to match the hip hop counterculture going on at the time So with Black Ops 6 on the way, they will likely choose to represent the early 90s Gulf War era in the next version of the map. Curious as to how that will work

Honestly, I can understand and respect you not liking BO1 and liking BO4. BO1 may have shiny guns and a grungy atmosphere but it's stale and its outdated mechanics make it difficult to play whilst BO4 is just like BO3 but with new perks and a different UI (I've never played BO4 so I will reserve my opinions 'til I do)

@@BigBlackVeasel no kidding, in most people’s opinion (mine included) bo3 has the best zombies and bo4 has the worst BLACK OPS zombies (so treyarch only)
Honestly it's the "outdated" mechanics that make BO1 more fun for me. I feel starting with BO3, there was too much fluff slipping in. It was still fine, but I like the more barebones experience WaW and BO1 offer. Some of the "fluff" I don't like as much with BO3 honestly started with Origins though. I'm a "go in and try not to die as long as possible" zombies player.
Mind you, I don't dislike the side stuff at all, nor there being a main quest/egg. I sometimes even give it a go. But if they're a requirement just to get pack or open parts of the map, I don't like it.
I think bo1 is mid. It's not the best/most fun and its not the worst. I rank bo1 and world at war around the same. The only thing I don't like about bo4 is I think its boring. bo2 is my favourite game bo3 it my number 2 favourite and I love the cold war movement and guns.
Fun fact that I found out on my dark aether grind, onslaught containment is the fastest single player way to level up your weapons, and that’s because it has no xo p drop off so the xp gain rate is a constant
It's ok Jake, I don't like BO2 much nor BO1 but overall prefer BO1 they are outdated for a reason. But BO3/4/Cold War really puts them to shame in a way.
Ive been playing Goat Simulator 3 with my fiancé, its a fuckin blast of a time bro, have fun! Also, another really good one is Overcooked, theres also Stardew if you wanna play a more slowpaced game. And actually, soon the CoD games will be coming to gamepass too!

black ops 1 is a pretty good game, i see why people dont like it im indifferent to it its cool but black ops 2 is toooo goated for me and will always reign supreme to me id play black ops 1 maps on through bo3 custom zombies or the chronicles maps too otherwise i never boot up base bo1

@@Godsniper21 I like it because it was basically a horror game, and ever though it was horrifying and brutal it didn't try hard to do so like other cods do in order to be edgy. WAW was not pulling any punches without trying too hard and it was perfect and still the scariest COD till this day
Remaster can mean a lot of things, but if you haven't played the "Nuketown Remastered" custom map for Cod WAW you definitely missed something interesting that deserves its own video.
I get why you love black ops 4 it has more texture better details does have bosses but I also get why people don’t like that because black ops does hit better has better weapons and is more scary and I mean they do have the reason to get mad of you and you talking smack to them is actually rude because I do also get mad that you say smack when you did say bo 4is better but I am just stating that and I do like your vid’s and I am subbed so don’t talk smack to me
