Helpful tip: If you hold accelerate right before the number 2 shows up during the countdown, you will get a boost at the start of the race

There are NO microtransactions loot boxes in-game despite the boxes, it's all in-game and you can upgrade cars as well... So not really an issue... Also the game isn't full priced
