this is probably one of the big reasons i like your channel so much, because you're genuinely not afraid of sharing stuff you might be or had been vulnerable about, and you're just sharing because you're the type of person who is genuinely trying to achieve self growth. you're an amazing inspiration for me, and to a lot others because of how genuine your videos are. this is one of my favorite quotes of all time, "the everything of life, then, is the first dawn stroke of realisation that what lies in his soul will always lie in his soul." there's not much about this quote that has to do with the topic of breakups, but this quote helped me achieve an epiphany whereby no matter who i am, what i do, as long as i am still alive in this very moment, i'm able to change, able to grow, and i am still me. thank you so much for being here! love

Persway, this is a beautiful video. I dont comment much on IDV videos, nor make IDV content much anymore, but I feel so proud that youve posted something so meaningful for a community that is comprised of mostly younger people, specifically teens. I myself am 19, and I moved away from an abusive household this year, as well as going through a breakup at the same time, so the theme of relationships, parental and romantic, were heavy on my mind and im sure still are to a degree. But like you, ive come to realize so many of the same things you have, I felt myself feeling so at peace and heard when you made each next point, because I cant imagine how many other people can benefit from even just feeling understood, and knowing that a relationship doesnt have to be traumatic; that both parties can do wrong, and even more so, to accept that you yourself did wrong, learn and heal so you can be a better person to yourself and to your next partner. I wish I could give you a hug, please know that your content has a monumental effect on so many people. Happy christmas eve !
I’m still 18, and I had a break up with someone whom I treasured dearly - but that feeling I had was not well conveyed. It’s a miracle that we even lasted three years, and you are indeed right. If you don’t put everything in the table, the breakup which happens will keep your head up at night. Thanks for sharing us what you went through, as I’m still looking on how to get over these things along with how the world works since I’m 18 yet still immature. Sometimes I wonder to myself if there’s something wrong with me because my dad tells me how his first relationship lasted 3 years and got over it in 1. Here I am, 7 months later still crying every night over a friendship (/relationship, we had a thing for a short time but i’m more heartbroken i lost her as a friend) that lasted 6, that ended for reasons i still am not fully sure about. And honestly persway, there’s a quote I heard a while back. It goes, “the biggest lie we are told is that we need to find somebody who makes us happy. That’s bull. You create your own happiness; it’s just that if you’re lucky enough, you’ll find somebody who adds to it.” I still stand by this, to this day, everyday. I remind myself to never go back or ever try to cling onto something that is long gone, and that the very fact I don’t feel okay right now because of her being gone is just proof I need to work on being okay on my own. Your entire well being shouldn’t depend on the existence of another. So, you’re right, persway. Don’t ever resent the way things happen or the people they didn’t go well with, and always be open about your intentions. Thank you for your words, they helped a lot. You saying that thoughts like “oh, do I delete the pictures? do i throw away the gifts? the memories?” are completely normal.. i really needed to hear that. I still battle myself doing those exact things. but so far, i haven’t; you can cherish the memory of someone and love them from afar, even if they’re not in your life anymore
I never went into a relationship nor I'm planning to any time soon but hearing this will definitely help if I ever get into one because you never know maybe I will change my mind
