I can't wait. But I have to admit, after years of seeing endless bugs with MSFS2020, the bright red man holding an "ERROR" sign in every youtuber's video about '24 is hilarious! 🤣🤣
Haha, it was a bit funny! But the bug was fixed on site as it didn't have anything to do with the sim itself. The process of resetting the PCs for us had an issue and caused this
Probably under NDA, but I do wish you could talk about performance and in particular VR performance. I don't have high hopes for 90hz native, but who knows.
I can talk about it. It definitely wasn't 90hz what I had. The Pimax is a very demanding headset, as well as the monitor being 4k. It was playable, but since I wasn't used to VR, I got motion sick from the sim not being that 90hz smooth performance.
@@NickFlightX Thanks, good to know. Yeah I saw vr footage on another channel and it looked like it was between 40 and 60 fps, so similar to msfs 2020. Oh well.
In terms of graphics I hardly see any differences wirh FS 2020. I think it should have been an update to FS 2020 instead of selling it as a new game that looks practically the same.
I really hope - as good as it looks - that they have fixed the stuttering as things load in, especially airports. I upgraded to my max budget a year or so ago to i713700k and rtx4070ti and although it made a BIG difference to previous system I was still getting stutters.
Did they discuss whether this was coming to steam or was that removed as as choice? I noticed the original announcement used to have steam as a release platform and am not longer seeing that there within the original release notice.
That bug never seen until the day of the event. It wasn't an issue with the sim itself. When they were resetting the PCs for us to use on the event day, there was an issue with that process which caused this.
So I've watched all of the newly released 2024 videos on RU-vid, and not one of them has demonstrated the promised 'walk anywhere' mechanics outside of the plane. They're all using the external cam for exterior shots. Is the walk anywhere feature just marketing BS?
There is a walking feature. I think most of us simply wanted to look at other features, and we didn't have a lot of time to check out everything we wanted to.
@@nitwit4947 You actually dont have to do any of the training or missions, they are completely optional. Free flight is there from the very start and has all the technology from 2020 and more
2024 is very "game" like. More so then simulator. In game currency, prerequisites to move forward to the things you want to do. Watch a bunch of videos released today.
I honestly think it is both. There are the casual users who will treat it like a game and fly the missions and such, but then other users will use it like a simulator, and this is capable of both!
