5:18 I know, man. Not sure why they added an extra step. Before you had to mine it and then smelt it, and now you have to mine it then smelt it. life is hard.
Yeah, even my friends who usually dont play games had just mild panic in lush caves. Mainly because one of them got a cave noise and thought there must be some kind of boss around
@@boogtoons4630 When I first time enterem Jungle I was scared to, so much flora seems dangerous, I guess knowing nothing about plants about you as you not watch minecraft updates could make you scared.
when he mentioned a fox, i thought “at least he isnt completely in the dark about whats been added in the past 5 years” then i realized foxes were added five years ago 😭
"Playing Minecraft after 5 years" At first I thought that was back in the 1.7 - 1.8 era of Minecraft. Then I remembered Village and Pillage was already 5 years ago...
Bruh, same I was like, dude, there's so much new since 5 years ago, and then he said about rhinos he saw last time and I'm like wait, what, when was 1.7?
I picked up the game again around that time. I think the bee update came around soon after I started again. I enjoyed all the new quality of life features. Especially the new boats. Good times.
@@davisatdavis1 I noticed that you used "😂" in your comment. Just wanted to say, keep having fun. I'm sure whatever you're laughing at is funny. Have a great day.
I feel a severe lack of simple survival gameplays on youtube nowadays. Everything is just absurd buildings and contraptions everywhere or insane challenges.
@@alessandrosilvafilho8527watch RTGame’s recent minecraft let’s play kinda like this video, he plays it after multiple years and doesnt do insane things, doesn’t rush anything, doesn’t even use the elytra after getting it, just taking things at his own pace.
I was watching him get enraged over iron having to be smelted.... but you've always had to smelt it. it just used to drop the block itself instead of raw iron.
It has been a solid 10 years, probably more, since I genuinely played Minecraft. Within the last month, my daughters have gotten back into it, and they drug me along. The number of changes is staggering: raids, illagers, the deep dark, the wardens, the overall world generation, ore distribution, smoker/blast furnace, phantoms, fish, drowned, shipwrecks, ancient cities, glowy vines, and a whole lot more. I completely understand his reactions here, as I have just went through them myself. There are noises that make no sense now, and I am almost always sure that it means doom. I ran into deep dark biome generation while mining at the iron level (y=16). The shriek-howl when I accidentally triggered that first warden spawn was nightmare fuel. I ran. Like a girl. I never saw him/it. I just ran back up to the overworld. After some reading on deep dark biome, I ventured back far enough to discover that I had stumbled upon an ancient deep dark city. I capped that leg of the mine. I do not see myself returning there anytime soon. All of that led me to looking up & watching more MC videos...which is probably why YT's algorithm suggested this video. I have a newfound respect for some of the die hard MC fans, and their ways to twist some of the game mechanics in their favor with things like mob, raid, food, and XP farms. And creative ways they go about handling things like warden spawns.
Y'know I was gonna comment about how the iron level is at like, 236 now, but then I remembered that a) you don't often get that high and b) 16 is still second best
@@spinosaurusiii7027 well if you are caving I think deeper down is better considering that there are iron veins that can contain probably hundreds of iron
This gameplay reminded me of classic days' gameplays. No making farms, no rush, no super complicated builds or megabases... just calmly exploring the game and discovering unknown things. I don't know this channel but this was pretty enjoyable.
there's a mechanic called "saturation", it's basically when your hunger bar overflows it makes you heal faster, depending on the food, they give off different amounts of hunger so like, if you eat raw fish, it's absolute not worth it, cause your hunger bar is just gonna fill, and it won't overflow a lot health regens by consuming your saturation, so the better the food, the more saturation, and the faster you'll heal
@@Nordde i think golden carrots are the best one, there's a mod called "appleskin", which lets you see how much hunger/saturation each food gives off, i don't play minecraft unless it's with a couple of my favorite QoL mods
Everything you were confused by: The thing killing the fish was an axolotl, completely harmless and can be captured in a bucket. The glowing octopus was a glow squid. Also harmless. The hanging vines with 'oranges' are glow berries, edible and able to be collected by right clicking the berry vine. Lastly, deepslate. When you hit deepslate, you'll find diamonds eventually. I sugest caves though as it is easier to find diamonds then.
the little "eeh" sounds were actually axolotls, you can pick them up in a bucket and put them in a aquarium, they spawn in in lush caves which are caves with those weird vines and lights, they can also help you clear ocean monuments by fighting the guardians and granting you regeneration
5:17 It's always been like this in the game except you used to mine it and get iron ore to smelt, this is just an improvement to make fortune on pickaxes work on iron now. To my knowledge, there has never been a version in which it drops iron ingots, I checked version 1.0 of the game, the very first official release version, and it dropped iron ore to smelt. Probably a Mandela effect because I also used to think it dropped iron ingots. This is all the same case with the gold as well. EDIT: I just now read the pinned comment but I am keeping this up here to remind you of your past mistakes
Man, the latest version of minecraft I played was 1.8. I've still played modpacks on older versions, but probably not for around 5 years. I can't imagine what has changed. I know I saw somebody playing the other day, and he threw down a campfire to cook a little meat. I guess I figured that was the best way to do it in current versions, but it was comforting to see you slap down a couple furnaces and go to town.
Nah. Campfires are slow. The best way is still furnaces. There’s even a furnace variant called the smoker that is made to specifically cook food faster
Campfires are only really good in the early game. They don't require fuel once they're made, so you can slowly cook food without having to use up any resources. I rarely use them myself, because I start finding coal / making charcoal immediately.
@@DaNintendude Honestly I can't even say they're useful at all apart from making structures with them. As long as you have access to wood and stone, furnaces are no big deal to craft
Your actually funny the more mature editing style and not a buncha captions or obnoxious editing is really refreshing as a viewer it's way better to watch something simple calm but funny in my opinion, great vid dude I subbed 🤝
Tips: those breathing noises are in your head prolly Deepslate is where diamonds spawn mostly, the lower you go the more diamonds spawn The terrain has changed A LOT amd the caves you where in are actually pretty small lol Copper does like.. nothing so dont worry Gold has the same uses as the old days Diamonds too Same with iron Yes theres 2 new cave biomes, the lush cave _wich you where in_ and the dripstome caves
Pls make this a series i almosted passed myself from laughing MULTIPLE TIMES i had to press pause alot too you being scared of everything is so real😂 I remember I could only play the game if my friends/cousins would join me so I understand😂😭
