The game is just really unique. There’s definitely time put into it, but it just doesn’t have a demographic. It uses a 3D arena fighter like ninja storm, normally those are more basic and simple, but it wants you to combo like it’s a side scroller like street fighter or mortal combat. It’s generally hated bc it doesn’t hit a big enough demographic, but the few people who like it, LOVE it.

This is one of the only arena fighters where you do your own combos. And they say "why do they make these fighting games so easy" it's not easy, it's hard to master, the problem was they chose "normal" not "manual" just like in 2D fighting games it'll do a whole combo for you by pressing 1 button. Online this doesn't work and you gotta do your own combos to get anywhere since the easy combos they give you aren't very good. They only pressed 1 button the entire time instead but you have 7 attacks and 3 ultimates to work with. It plays kind of like Pokken Tournament, the only other arena fighter that's not holding your hand like Naruto Storm. This game now has something like 55 characters and a large community. If only they gave it a second chance and played on MANUAL. As for the 3rd ultimate doing half your life, it's actually really hard to pull off if you use meter to extend combos which they never did. Online you'll never get hit by a level 3 ultimate unless you're really bad and the other player isn't utilizing dash cancels to continue comboing. It also has a meteor system so you cant do more than a certain amount of damage per combo. The character gimmicks are so smart and creative, like Shinso literally counters voice lines, what character in gaming does that? Night eye has the ability to counter then see the opponents next attacks as well as an avoid attack which they never utilized neither. Mirio can can invincible and permeate through attacks but you cant attack if you're permeated, so you have to strategize when to use it because it's like a counter that's player activated not a regular counter. Twice can clone your character and use them to do combos along with himself so it's a shadow clone of YOUR character but you control both. Muscular can beef himself up and do more damage but to be honest he's one of the worst in the game and Bakugo is one of the best so it was a disadvantaged matchup. That's just the characters Mark and Leland chose, the rest of the roster are so unique. It's a really well made game, the graphics just don't look the best .

10:30 mark complaining here sounds mostly like he’s mad because he doesn’t know how to play. My hero 2 is actually pretty decent as far as arena fighters go. It looks good, characters are basically all unique, combos are satisfying, and you can’t just move around on wake-up, you need to be ready.
