I got the XBOX One specifically for Skyrim SE to mod after having thousands of hours in the game, but have never finished it... the goal for me was never to "win", but to explore and see how I can make a realistic survival experience without killing. Gone Turbo, your load order videos are the basis for All my builds and mods, so thank you and keep up the good work!
It's the greatest game of all time TO ME, because no other game has allowed me to make it "my own," and play it "my way" to the same degree as does Skyrim. That's why I continue to play THIS game almost exclusively after all these years, ( the only other games that I play are the "Souls" series). ..And here's to Gone Turbo for continuing to make these Skyrim videos!
As a Gen X'er, I might not be the oldest person who watches your channel, GT, but I'm sure I'm in the upper half of your channel demographic! If you're a younger player, and have never played Morrowind or Oblivion, I'd highly suggest you do so, because each TES title excels in different areas. (playing Arena or Daggerfall isn't possible on consoles) Morrowind's writing, world design, and sheer player freedom is unparalleled. While Oblivion, in my opinion, took a lot of wrong turns, it has some of the best side quests (and the Shivering Isles dlc!) in the entire series. Skyrim brought some welcome gameplay improvements and of course, mods! The older games aren't as pretty (the potato people of Oblivion are something you'll never forget), but there's hundred upon hundreds of hours of gameplay waiting for you. Thanks. I’m an Xer as well. I go back to Atari as a kid. I talk about Morrowind in this vid. It opened me up to the elder scrolls. Thanks for the support.
I highly agree. I played Skyrim first, and then went back and discovered that Oblivion actually did some things better than Skyrim. The same was true with Morrowind as well, (unfortunately in that case I had no patience for the actual game mechanics, thus went back to Oblivion and Skyrim).
If it's your first time, I'd play straight vanilla, both to experience the game and later when you go to start modding it, you'll understand what you're changing in terms of gameplay and aesthetic mods.
If I could only install 2 mods (because my religion does not allow more or something) it would be "friendly SMIM" (beautify the worst caes) and "believable weapons" (makes vanilla weapons more realistic looking but still lore-friendly). Both are only for graphics, no gameplay changes or such.
... And don't you start installing grass mods. You may end in an endless loop finding the one that does not burn your VRAM 🙃. I recently uninstalled 90% of my graphics mods and the game still looks awesome. Forgot how good the vanilla grass looks. Only graphics mods left are of course SMIM and textures for interiors like dungeons, caves, Nordic Ruins ("Rudy HQ" is hilarious) and forts because I need 60 FPS and interiors are lightweight. Testing the Weather mod "Wander" at the moment and I think it's the most impressive of all that I've seen (I've tested nearly all of them). Keep it up!
@@GoneTurbo does that load order actually work after the update? Because I'm getting pretty constant crashes with it. Just curious to know since I love the lo and want to play with it.
