i really struggled with the game too, JDee's videos have been absolutely essential in helping me learn to have fun in what is possibly the best space strategy game ever made.
Keep playing. I had a hard time the first 2 weeks or so. But the more you play the more you start to learn and pick up. Check the discord and reddit pages too.
I second more starter fleets. When I first started playing I went straight to starter fleets to make it easier on myself to learn the ropes. Even then some of the fleets were more challenging to use. I think it'll help beginners to get a gist of how a starter fleet should play out.
Great video! I’ve been using the hemlock fleet practising against the AI. It’s cool too see someone experienced with the game use it! Can’t wait for more batreps like this in the future!
Great video. I am still confused a bit as to how different missile seekers actually work. Do you think you could make a video explaining the different seeker verification combinations?
@@TheMarecek05 Certainly is on my list. Usually I do a bunch of testing and design the format which gives me questions that I can go confirm with Mazer so I have accurate information.
I figured out a strat for the missile spam.. you gotta make a wild weasel.. those of you that understand the concept trust me it works.. just make it glow brighter than the sun EW Signature wise..
@@t4rv0r60 it's a term for a fighter plane that attracts enemy radar attention so that the enemy radars can be engaged with anti-radar missiles. He's just saying make a bait ship to tank missiles.
I tried out a Beam DD fleet in skirmish against TF Hemlock and those Javelins were no joke. Single hit at the wrong angle knocked a DD out right off the bad.
It doesnt, although it comes up often. Its not on the high priority list at the moment. Largely due to the amount of effort that it would require. Might be something we see down the line but not in the short term.
450mm AP is best left for BBs to penetrate deep to start doing some damage. After a min of sore its better to switch to HE. Sometimes I do HE/AP at the beginning of an encounter so that I can do both. Only works if your guns are in different groups.
AP has pen depth while HE doesn't. HE only has blast radius so it won't damage anything too deep inside, especially against CH or BB that is bow tanking.
