Playing the BEST Tier 8 Tanks in World of Tanks! 

Seeing the tier 8 tech tree tanks having low winrates because of all the overpowered premium tanks is pretty sad. Just goes to show, spend money and be more competitive.

Personal take on the SPG being highest win rate of standard tier 8's: All tier 8's end up in tier 10 matches constantly, an SPG is the least affected by this

I really appreciate that QB doesnt cherrypick his games. we get to see that sometimes bad games happen. It's nice to know (and makes playing less stressful when) that there are times that even some of the best players in the world cant do anything

This is the moment when u realize that the old game concept of making Premium tanks somewhat underpowered BY INTENTION in comparison to their tech tree peers was actually a very good idea. Nowadays we see the consequences of not following this concept any longer.

Above tier 6 on Ensk, every tank gets into the action very quickly. That's just how it goes when you spawn inside spotting range.

Honestly think the real problem isnt even that the tech tree tanks suck as there are many good and fun tier 8 tech tree tanks but the real problem are all the stock grinds. stuff like a stock tiger 2 sucks but the tiger 2 itself is 1 of the best tier 8s i ever played

Hot tip for QB and anyone else: when you're about to be rammed, if you're reversing away from the rammer and realize there's no possibility to escape and you will get rammed, the least you can do when you have that realization, is to stop reversing and change direction toward the rammer, that way you shift the ramming calculations a tiny little bit more in your favour than if you're being rammed as you try to move away from the rammer.

The look on QB's face when he is trying to figure out what to do with an SPG is priceless.

My opinion - tier 8 are doing badly because they have to fight higher tier more often than not. Artillery can still be more effective in that scenario...

5:34 155 51 is actually hilariously fast when it's got field mods on, with 1st giving engine power and 2nd giving 5kmh top speed boost, if you pair that with a turbo... I know it's useless 99.9% of the time, but it's hillarious when you're relocating and you can drive around at 69km/h with 28.9hp/ton... and thats without 105 octane even.

As a Free to Play player, I experienced the same pain in grinding through the mid and higher tiers.

those first 2 games are pretty much my daily experience in this game Also I adore the VK 100.01 P, it's like playing a Maus but you don't have to deal with all the tier 10 bullshit

The VK.100 01P is my favorit tier 8 tank. In that tank i do not care what a round costs. Full bond equipment, gold and big med and repair kid. Some of the good rounds make me have a lot of fun in it.

Maybe on next "Playing" series, can you do tanks that are not top? Like start from the rank 20 and below, or the worst per tier tank. I think alot of people will like to know how you'll play those tanks.

the reason why premium tanks often have win ratios is that they are fully upgraded right from the get go, only thing you can improve there is the crew. If you start grinding out a tech tree tank, the first few dozen games you will probably have a WR which is around 40 percent or even lower. Thats not the case with premium ones. Plus often you sell the tech tree tank when moving to the next higher tier, so a lot of time tech tree tanks don't get mastered as premium ones. IMO you can't compare Win Ratios from Tech tree tanks with premium tanks because of all these different factors. From the WR alone you can't really say whether a tech tree tank is bad or not.

I haven't had the Lorr 155 for long but I love it. I find that French arty is fast, has good penetration but slow shell velocity and virtually no splash. You really need to be accurate but when you do you hit you hit hard!

The 105 leFH18B2 is actually a premium SPG at tier V

Grinding tier 8 tech tree tanks is a miserable experience right now so those winrates dont surprise me.

Tier 8 matchmaking isnt kind to the tech tree tanks. The 3-5-7 template system was the worst thing to happen to Tier 8s

This t8 french arty is the best at ramming light tanks that rush to kill artillery

you can angle vk100 next building so u hide lower plate and cupola and is impenetrable walll i love4 it. its beastly with pure speed build

The Lorraine 51 is an amazing artillery. Extremely fast and traverses quickly, very accurate gun and decent damage. But keep in mind it's artillery lol

The tier 8 french artillery was my first artillery, i got 3 marks on before the arty changes. Its a pretty good arty, because it has a good ratio of damage/stun, accuracy and reload time. The gun ark is a bit low, so you need to consider it into your positions sometimes. But the speed enables those position changes. All in all probably best tier 8 arty.

I think the main reason you see all the tech tree vehicles with lower win rates is that there are stock games included in those numbers. You never have to suffer through stock grinds that drag down your win rate in premium tanks.

the nerf on arty made playing that class even more painful, as you have even less opportunity to carry your team. Before, you had enough influence in the battle to prevent a loss in some circumstances, but now if you have the worst team you can't do anything, you're doomed..

i think the guys who rushed you knew that you were qb so they knew it's better to sacrifice 3 tanks but atleas qb cant take 6 tanks from them

It’s funny we all do donkey plays and it’s great when they work and take out a good player that’s holding the advance. For example I was in my O-Ni and on a map I blocked the way in a corridor like a gate with my tank and the enemies lost the game because of that

Nice battles, so everybody can see that even QB can suck in tech tree tanks, although he was using food, directives, which free to play players do not use. And now imagine that you are completelly free to play, you just jumped to Tier8, lets say to AMX 65t, you have 90% crew and stock tank ... good luck for your first 50 battles in that shit to get to Tier9 :)

For win rate on the NA server, the top 36 tier 8 tanks and 65 out of the top 70 tanks tier 8 tanks are all premium tanks.

I've stood my ground against an E3 and a Grille once and bounced over 8k in my trusty VK100p I love that tank and I do have some good 52% winrate in that tank

Yeah. Whenever I play a T8 premium the worst is we it like T9, mostly it’s T8 games. But as soon as I get into a Centurion 1 it’s constant T10 games and I’m sick of it

I was a while ago in a tier 8 battle with only 1 tech tree tank per team... And our team one was me... with stock IS-M...

Not only nowadays premium tanks better than techtree tanks, but people who buy them probably takes the game more seriously.

@QuickyBaby, you made one statement that needs correction in the video: you said "There are no premium artillery in the game." There is actually one, the Tier V French 105 leFH18B2 "Leaf Blower". In addition to long walks on the beach, it loves to use it's obscene rate of fire to dunk all over Tier V games. Fortunately/Unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, as a Tier V it cannot be used for progression on a lot of the missions, and it's shells have a very small effective radius, meaning you need to use it with precision. It also isn't typically available for sale, so there's also that.

When you have to grind your tier 8 tech tree tanks so they aren't stock your win rate will take a big hit and when 80% of your games are against higher tier tanks....you're lucky to have an above 40% win rate. Add to that the premiums are superior tanks and you have a recipe for failure. Took me 8 games to get a win in the LHMTV yesterday because every game I had to go up against LT-432's and ELC's.

Stock tier 8: Load premium everything. The newer premium tanks are better than tech tree equivalents in many ways. It reminds me of my old clan that required Type 59s for tier 8 clan wars (long ago). It was after WG stopped selling them, so here I was with my T-44 (since there wasn't a Chinese tech tree equivalent at that point). Not even close! I put a derp 122 on it to have a derpy gun amongst the lovely 59s.

I know my comment is way off the topic, but I was today on a memory lane thinking about the games when I met some of the best players in Wot and like Sir Foch and they didn't even try to hide who they were or their stats. I haven't ever confronted you QB myself in a battle, but several times your clan mates yes. I have killed some of the most famous streamers on the Eu server and unicums. And I do not stream snipe. I don't care about stats. I am the guy who does always the hard work and I am willing to take the hits. I brawl with every class from lights to heavies, cos someone has to do it.

Yeah, where are those days, when to earn any kind of credits i needed to be able to coup with my Super Pershings or IS-6s 175mm of pen against almost all tech-tree vehicles packing 200mm+...
