you should totally adopt a black cat! i work in rescue & black cats are often the most difficult to adopt out because of the superstition surrounding them. also, if you do adopt a cat, i highly suggest you adopt a bonded pair of cats if possible bc cats are colony animals 💛
@@wolfferoni Black dogs are also the hardest to convince people to adopt because owners often want fancy coats of different colours. Black is viewed as too generic. And people associate black dogs with aggressiveness and so people never choose them. It’s so sad
I was hoping that Nat would find out that when you meowed at a active security camera they nodded at you, I found that little detail very charming when I played Stray
This is legit one of the most calming streams ever, please do this again! Would love to know what happens in the next part of the story and collect more sheet music!
2:00:05 Mildly Important Information tuned into the stream randomly and the few minutes of this brought me such comfort i just cried. thanks mommy for making this moment last 💝
You should adopt a black cat and call her Cat. 😁 I found a tabby cat a few years ago, and thought of calling her Tabby, but I ended up calling her Luciferia because she is such an angel. 😇
At 8:23 I realized that the exploration aspect of the game gets you in the mindset of being a weird little guy (cat). Nat just jumps around for the sake of being there. Much like my cat, Leviathan.
It also gets you in the cat mindset with how the platforming works. You can only fail a jump when it’s scripted- in a normal platformer you have to use part of your human brain calculating your jumps, but in this game the cat brain and cat sense of balance calculates all the jumps and there’s no way to fall into a pit outside of scripted events
just came back from playing the heck out of this game, after feeling too sick to come to work. this is the most wholesome post-apocalypse after stand still stay silent.
Aleatoric music is a type of composition where the composer leaves some space and/or instruction for interpretation for dynamics, accents and sometimes improvisation for the performer within the piece. Another way a piece could be aleatoric is if, in the composition process, the composer leaves some aspects or the whole thing to chance. So I don't think that's aleatoric, while it is random, it is not intentionally random. I guess it's kinda like 20th century classical's response to jazz which is aleatoric. Baroque and other figured bass music is kinda aleatoric cause the accompanying performer can choose voicing of an inversion. "In C" by Terry Riley is somewhat aleatoric as the performers can choose how many times they repeat a phrase within a certain number like "4-10x"- Steve Reich does this with a little more instruction for "Music for 18 musicians"; it can be even more free like choosing rhythms for certain phrases, accents, dynamics, inversions for note clusters and chords etc.
we have done some of this in my more complex wind ensemble pieces at my high school, sometimes the arrangement just has "play notes randomly" for timpani and such LOL
Have you ever watched Elam Rotam's videos on Early Music Sources? He goes into the ways that early music, mostly of the 16th and 17th centuries, was heavily aleatoric, although he doesn't use the word. The notation didn't capture everything, so part of learning to perform music was learning how to fill in with good taste the things that were left out. It wasn't about adding extra things, like grace notes, but fleshing out the basic texture, and if different performers made contrary decisions, horrendous dissonances could result.
I just spent all day shopping for artificial flowers so I missed the stream. Now, I feel like those flowers. Lifeless and without purpose. Edit: but my room is cute as hell
My dad finished this game two minutes before i put this on the tv. He was very sarcastic throughout. We're scottish; sarcasm is the song of our people. "You're a cat! What do cats do?!"
bro as natalie's short term memory storage just got smaller and smaller thru the stream i was going crazy LOL SHE IS WALKING IN THE BAR AND TRYNA WALK RIGHT OUT AGAIN
Dearest Nat, I wish I had time to watch this now, unfortunately I think I should wait. Until the moment feels right. One day, yes one day I may even be able to tune in live, I am so sad I have never done that. Not only are you amazing, you are also the coolest cat I know.
OMG You are so bad at directions! XD I was screaming at the video like an old person saying "NO! OVER THERE! THE OTHER SIDE!" And I was sober the whole time! XD
And fear not lest Existence shut the Door On You and Me, to open it no more. The Cream of Life from out your Bowl shall pour Nine times--ere it lie broken on the floor. -- Oliver Herford, "Rubaiyat of a Persian Kitten"
If you are going to get a cat, you should name them Cricket. Artemis is cool, but Cricket has 9 lives. He's a cat in a dog's body. They can hang out with my dog Sweet Dee, my friend's dog Charlie and her cat Dennis!
So do you know why you decided to do this? Perhaps it is yet still never too late to just make the tough play and see fit to undo your mistake. Big things indeed are about to be happening and you had a major hand in getting us here after all. It would be a shame to have to run the risk of attempting to do this without you for the sake of preserving the wrong investment. If anybody can manage to beat that ages old habit it had really better be you Madam. Just sane. I have faith in you.
