Yes - but I commented that as I watched you start a new game without showing us it’s continued ... so it was a great video and all that . But I would say that in order for people to believe you. Then you can’t make cuts - just fast forward maybe .
@@popeyezeaman4776 hey mate, FYI, he wasn't making this video to claim that he could pull off supernatural feats on a pool table, it's an entertainment video with an educational point to make. I think you're overreacting.
Matimio S lmaoo i love your assumption about my lifestyle. Its great. Who told you i cant afford to buy one? Or when on earth did I mention that? Buying one is not the issue. I simply do not have the space in my home to put the table. Thats the issue.
Like it LC. I had a similar idea but did not pull it off yet. Maybe I will get motivated soon. Thanks for stopping by my Thursday Night Live Stream over the last two weeks. You're an asset to our community.
Hahahaha! Fun video dude! I appreciate your videos. They help me out with my game. I especially like when you explain your thought processes while also showing where you hit on the queue ball. Thanks for your uploads.
Being on lockdown sucks.i havent played pool in weeks and wish i had a pool table.it would be awesome to be stuck at home for weeks and be able to shoot pool.have fun buddy and keep up the good work
Hi, Chris - glad to see you are doing well, and thank you for the new video! I really liked the switch to lefty on the five ball when it would have been a big stretch otherwise. I'll start to practice some lefty, too! ps: Love the "real ghost," too - thanks very much for the Monday afternoon work-break grin.
I had a pool table installed JUST before quarantine... Didnt really have space for it so the wife had to say good bye to her lounge! MANY hours of practice going in getting ready for the league to start!!! Thanks for you Vids man! It really helps when watching and practicing, especially your league matches. Keep up the great work and stay safe!!! From South Africa
Chris- Thanks again for your videos! 1st game..... Cue ball went a little longer than you wanted on the 3 ball, but your 4 ball shot was a *beautiful* leave for the 5 ball! Excellent! Stay safe, brother. I hope to see you on the other side of this mess of uncertainty on our planet. 😎👍🏼
Scare coach Chris I went back and looked at some of your previous lessness I noticed that I was not pausing the stroke before I hit the ball so I thank you for that my question is will you do a lesson on how to break up the balls That are stuck together after a break
Very nice video. It would be great if you could comment on your shots and thought process as you ar taking the shots. Also, next time you play the ghost, don't forget to close the window as it is quite breezy when the ghost is at the table :-)
Very creative idea! It’s the creepy laugh for me lol You will be happy to know you can really tell the difference in sound and lighting quality compared where you are now.
That was real fun to watch Chris. Tough miss on the 5 ball. Definitely something I will try after this calamity is over. Meanwhile, stay well safeguarding your health. QA
Was that Vincent Price laughing after the ghost won game 2? Nice touch. Thanks for keeping up the videos in our pool starved times. This was a great video - I can see this being a motivator for my improving players too, to beat the ghost you have to get 3 balls down, then 4... good idea to get them "thinking ahead" as I have trouble getting some SL 2-3 players doing anything but lining up straight for the safe shot.
Watching this in a minute but wanted to say thanks first, I don't watch a lot of the instructional pool channels anymore except yours and a few others. I fell I learn a lot from your english breakdowns so thanks again!
Well it looks like you’re using your time wisely working on your game and video skills. Although I think technically once you lose to the ghost you’re done because after the first miss he gets the break and he never misses so you never get another shot. I hope you stay safe and healthy through this. Thanks for the videos.
LOL. Good video! Really enjoyed it. They say that many times you can see the forest better standing outside of it and in this case I can see a very definite issue with your stroke at times. I have watched many of your videos and when you miss your stroke is very jabby or punchy. You do not go through the ball well. When you go through the ball well you hit the ball so good. I am not sure if you noticed that.
Keep up the great work. Please include image of the cueball with tip position. Like you do on the APA videos Also on 2nd game why did you choose to play the 2 ball in the top corner? Why not bottom corner. Love the videos thanks!
The 2-Ball was frozen to the side rail. It's more difficult to shoot it to the bottom corner and avoid the points of the side pocket. It is possible to do so, just more difficult.
Love all your videos. I need your advice about getting my pool table refelted and new bumpers. I can not find anyone in my area that does that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I'm not familiar with changing the felt or rails on a pool table. I fortunately have people/companies in my area that specialize in that. Are you looking in just your immediate area? Some businesses might still service you, if you're not too far away.
On your first rack, 3 ball, you should play with bottom spin with higher pace (Not screw back). It will drag out and slow down the ball... thus having more control on your white and gain better positioning instead, which you lost control and ran over on your 4-ball.
Don't you flex on me with your at home pool table, I won't be able to play for god knows how much time with this isolation in place lol. Well I guess I can play ghost vs ghost lol
How do you decide when it's a good idea to play against the ghost? I play British pool, and running out is not very reliable for the British equivalent of an APA 4.5 / 5, and defense is a lot stronger because it's a foul to pot your opponent's ball. At some point, obviously you have to learn to play to run out, but at our level, you also need to practise getting into the thick of it. Or is it just "when not running out is just boring"?
I really would say anytime is a good time to practice against the ghost. It's just a matter at how you want to keep score against the ghost. Normally it would just be straight wins and losses, but now a point system has been pretty popular to practice with the ghost where every ball is worth a point. So now instead of doing like a race to 5 and losing 0 - 5. You can play 5 racks and have a score of like 15 - 20 (averaging 3 - 4 balls a rack) and have something to progress towards that's a little less discouraging than progressing from a 0 - 5 loss against the ghost.
Great effort, sir! How to improve followthrough as my height is 6.5 and with a conventional cue stick I can't do it . My stick wobbles when i deliver it ..
Sounds like you're either swinging too fast or your follow through is too long. This is where muscle memory can come in. I'd suggest just slowing down your stroke and follow through the cue ball about 2 - 4in past the cue ball until you're no longer wobbly. Then try to do it faster and maintain the control.
Hi Chris,, new subscriber and new pool player here. Just bought a table for wife and I. Glad to find your channel to assist me with some basic questions. I am all over the map with cue tip sizes,, I have a 13 mm , a 12 mm and also a 9.5 mm cue on order. could you comment on that? Thanks
@@LilChrisPoolPlayer , thanks for comeback, I am also learning about ball sizes and such, we bought a 5 x 10 basically a snooker table with the curved pockets, and have just received our snooker sized (2 1/16th) 8 ball set. Thanks again
That was fun and creative way to illustrate the Ghost. A question for you: had your Ghost actually missed a shot, such as that round-the-world 8ball, would you have given yourself another opportunity at the table to finish? Love your videos and your explanations.
Hi, thanks for your video, could you tell us your Fargo rate and your average score against the ghost. I don't have access to Fargo rate tournament system, I would like to estimate my level
I'm wearing a green suit during the effect and "green screened", or filtered out, myself from the video. I also had to take picture of the room with no balls on the table and used that as a background. That's why you can still see what's behind me when I filter myself out. I didn't do the best of jobs with it, but it was good enough with what I had to work with. I have to get more lighting in my garage to make the effect better.
If you don't mind sharing .... what video software are you using to create the "Ghost Effect"? GREAT watching you shoot. Wishing real bad now, that I had my own table.
@@LilChrisPoolPlayer Thanks for that. You missed your calling, Chris! You do an outstanding (professional level even) job of all your edits, screen effects and now ... a GHOST.
I thought you ha the second set. It was actually an almost great out. The ghost part was pretty great. I was not expecting that 😬😂. Another great video Chris.👍.
A suggestion for future races. Do not cut the video for any reason. Not for racking, lol you could put any break n run you wanted to ,,,in any race. But the ghost thing was cool,,not sure how you did that.
There's no special trick to making long shots vs short shots. That just comes down to aiming and fundamentals. With regards to aiming, I have a "Ghost Ball" video that should help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gQ80S8TUFjY.html With fundamentals, you would want to make sure that your cue is "as leveled as possible" when you strike the cue ball. Any amount of elevation will cause the cue ball to curve if you accidentally, or purposely, put side spin on the cue ball. You also want to make sure that your stroke is as straight as it can be. Otherwise, you could be putting more spin on the cue ball than you may have intended which could cause the cue ball to deflect (squirt) more than you adjusted for. Hope that helps!
@@LilChrisPoolPlayer thanks for the advice! I'm learning from your vids. Started playing pool couple a weeks now and I'm struggling with long shots even I feel my angles are okay. P.S. just watched your 8 ball match, I was like "hey wait!" when you pocketed the 8-ball while 6-ball is still on the table. 😂😂😂
