For example: all designations that are above currently shown terrain level could be displayed as more transparent and a little bit darker. It would be less visually intrusive for player that is for example planning lower levels of the mine after he placed markers for upper levels.
Not complicated. But good suggestion. I might make a few concepts and pick the best one! But this for sure seems like a good compromise. I appreciate it very much!
