Not quite playing Train Simulator in this video, but more of a tour of what use to be around the where I live, long gone but not forgotten the Railways of Gosport.
We'll be visiting each station along the line and showing you what they use to be like and seeing what they are now between the nearly 200 years since they were first built!

Brilliant. Thank you for sharing this James. Good to see this modern take on the history of railways in Gosport. Really interesting stuff.

Glad that you enjoyed it, though was hoping that TrainSim had better camera controls, either that or I've yet to work them out, either way I'm looking forward to when the map maker has finished with his work to see what everything looked like back then in more detail!

Thanks for the tour, Stokes Bay Pier was demolished in the 1970s or maybe early 80s. In the 1960s, I lived in Gosport close to the railway line which had one goods train per day. Btw the large warehouse beside the track is the old wallpaper factory, the building is still there.

Glad you enjoyed it, and wasn't too sure on the pier, the book which I had I don't remember if it mentioned exactly when it went. And have been living here since the mid-80s and at most all I remember is a single train running since then before they turned it into a bus route. And did think the building was familiar however I tend to stay near the high street when down Gosport but good to know it's still around!
