2:22 more of this view point please... that's a real pleasure to watch throttle and brake control and body movement... 4:49 hehe )) good people around.
I tried to record previous sessions, but the GoPro kept shutting off. I had to format the card and then it started working, but I only got the last session.
Yes, loved the view with the throttle and brake trailing action. Would love to see a rider that had all the latest video that shows braking amount and you can see throttle and braking running up and trailing off in digital form leds as the rider transitions from the straights to the corners. I see you overtake a lot of riders in the braking zone. Thumbs up man! Keep them coming Cuban Rider, we love them!!! :-)
I appreciate that your XR is the same color/configuration as mine, so the POV camera gives me the satisfaction of being a skilled rider and as fast as you are without actually being either of those things. Thanks for that! 🙏
For me, this demonstrates it’s all about the rider. You’d pass them on their bikes, too. Your skill is obviously the key here. Lovely bike...but it’s all you.
I keep watching your track day and Tail Of The Dragon videos over and over. Awesome. My mate has just bought a brand new 2021 tri-colour S1000XR, I hope he gives me a ride of it, such great all-rounder bikes. Especially in the hands of a capable rider as you have proved. Great job mate 👍
Looks like all that preparation was well worth it!!! Really amazing videos and I like the added angle of front braking. you were soo fast at times you rubbed the stand while leaning into the corners...WOW. Keep it up - thank you!!!
Thanks Eric. I worried the entire week that something would not work out, either the bike with an issue or the track with weather, but it all worked perfect. So perfect in fact, that I ended up pushing myself too much and at the end of the day I was drained, wasn't sure if I was going to be able to load the bikes on the trailer with how tired I was.
exactly one year ago today I got my first bike, a triple black 2019 model (new) s1000xr. Never rode before, learned to ride on the internet, didn't have to take a test because my car drivers license predates 1985. Today I have 27500 kms on the clock on my year round commute, in all kinds of weather. That is how easy this bike is to ride. I wil never be able to ride like cuban, but knowing the potential is there...
Congrats Peter, great choice. Some will say that this bike is too big for a beginner, but I think it works great with the technology that comes in it. The power is so linear and the electronics so good that it makes it very good to build your skills on it. And yes, very easy to ride compared to many other bikes. I bought my original XR after just 4 months of riding.
So much respect for crushing it on a adv. Not my style but I get it. Those type of bikes will be the next wave of interest after the naked bikes settle down
Only come across your videos last night and been hooked! Great riding and your skill on how you handle that big machine around the track is unreal bud ✌️ Also great to see how the cup 2's are performing as that's my next tyre of choice so your feedback would be greatly appreciated
great footage! many thanks!...had many sports bikes before, including 2016 S1000 R, then bought a 2021 s1000 XR, what a machine, with the right suspension set up, it is practically untouchable !! you are correct! ... greetings from South Africa, Still Bay, Garden Route!
Just curious, I’ve never owned a German bike but I do own German vehicles and they’re nothing but problems over 100k miles. In your experience, are German motorcycles the same once they start getting into the high mileage range?
@@danielrosas7550 a lot of owners do take them high mileage but me personally my like BMW bike had about 6k miles on it when I traded it in for my current bike 2019 S1000XR and I'll probably upgrade that bike before I hit 10k miles. I also get the extended all coverage warranty which last for 8 years.
Man you pumped me up. Loading XR on trailer watching you blast the XR. You made those power cup tires work. Cool video of looking back showing body position. Awesome video.
This is the best video of BMW S1000XR on youtube! Damn you well know to how ride. Also, you installed Akrapović headers right so have you installed other exhaust or the stock one?
Note to self: Must try harder! You're a hell of a rider - calm, relaxed and lovin it. You made the other riders look like learners haha. Great video!! Thanx
Great video man - COTA is a phenominal track. I've got an XR too and they are fantastic do-it-all bikes. I've had many GS's and they're great bikes - swift, handle well, comfy and good brakes. But no GS has ever made me go WOOOHOOO! like my XR always does.
Fantastic Rider, indeed... I have seen videos of this motorbike in Off road tests and it's awesome!! My next buy decision is this monster and beauty bike... Thanks for all your incredible videos..... BMW should give you a comisión......
The POV view makes it look so easy, but that selfie angle really shows your effort to ride like this and less than 10% xr owners will be able to pull this off my friend 🤙🏽
It does seem a lot less hectic on the GoPro. In real life the heart rate gets going pretty good and you catch yourself breathing hard every once in a while.
What has ability got to do with it. Hes not saying the average rider could do this, hes showing how capable this bike can be in the right hands. Riding fast like this requires alot of effort on anybike. fact that hes tearing past superbikes whilst having to put in more effort still says alot.
Dicen que no es la moto... es el piloto, pero cuando se juntan ambos este es el resultado, el video es espectacular! Saludos mi hermano, sin duda la mejor moto!
Hey Cuban. I have a 2016 bmw s1000xr and I noticed at over 120mph it starts to wiggle a bit. What can I do to help prevent a wobble at higher speeds? I almost wonder if I'm not leaning over the tank enough. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you love watching your videos.
That XR is 6 years old and you mercilessly cane it to within an inch of it's life week in and week out and it just comes back for more, what a superb bike. I bought an XR as a result of your videos and it is the mutt's nuts.
Cuban inspired me to buy my 2020 XR, and I think I've seen all your videos. Since you rode with Max Wrist once or twice, I'll look for you on here in sunny SoCal ... :-)
@Cuban Driver Hi cuban driver i got a 2019 s1000xr Hp style . The bike is shaking a lot above 180km/hour. I dont dare to ride harder then 220 , it's shaking the whole bike so hard . U have any tips what it could be ??? Got new tires and 13k km total .
Nice riding. I have a 17 s1000r and there is a guy who has done the same track days as me who has an 18 xr - one of these dudes a bit older than me (I am 52) who has been riding for ever, and he leaves me (not hard) but most other guys behind. Secret is technique, which he has and you have. Nice throttle and brake control as well as head and body position. Quick question - SpT1200RS v XR?
Hi, you are so fast! I've been in Mugello circuit with my XR but I feel not so confident with the front brake. Did you make any change to the lever and pump? Thanks
I know I'm late to the party, but posting my question just in case. How are you able to roll on so much in the corners while leaned way over, and not lose the rear?
I try to avoid maximum lean angle, but when I'm fully leaned I get on the gas slowly, very progressive even though in the video it doesn't look like it. That and amazing traction control on the BMW.
How do you compare XR's quick shifter vs Aprilia's one? I see a lot of trail braking - amazing work brother! Please do more of that front facing camera, so we can see actual work behind those forks 😄
The 2021's RSV4 quickshifter was flawless, very smooth. The XR's QS is also very good, but I've caught myself rushing it a few times and the gears haven't gone in, operator error, really.
@@CubanRider i think the Multi V4s Pike Peak edition is going to be awesome. It's not out yet. 17 inch wheels is what missing on the current multi v4s.
Hi there, I'm considering shift from my panigale to an XR. Does you get knee down comfortably on it? I had a Multistrada before and I was used to being bothered by the annoying central stand
I have a friend who dragged the center stand on his Multi a lot. On the XR we don't have that issue. The pegs drag before anything else drags, and by that point you're getting plenty of knee-dragging angle. I did remove the center stand on mine, but I haven't heard any complaints even from those that have installed rearsets.
