We were in a professional recording studio for this whole shoot. We used top of the line mic's running into a very nice sound board. All the drums are EQ'd, compressed, gated and mixed down. That and they are great quality drums!
Your best bet would be to stick one mic in your bass drum to get a clear bass drum sound, then use the other for an overhead that picks up the rest of the drums. From there, EQ the mic's as good as you can, then plug the audio from the board straight into your camera. You may have to use either Tape Out (RCA) if your board does not have XLR out. Good Luck!
@wilfan12 i have a problem with the ghost notes. when i do the exercise with it, i think i cannot handle the power with my left hand. i can't handle the volumn well, how can i handle it well?
Your mentality is "Kids should be learning what I think they should be learning because if not they are not learning properly" Kids can learn to play whatever the hell they want! Experimenting with an instrument has no boundaries so if all you want to play is solos and double bass then you should play solos and double bass.
