G'day to Cranky Brad, Media Matt and Lucky Phil. While a couple of us were doing a stubble burn this arvo before the air seeder hits the paddock, we were having a chat and are amazed at the mechanical repair work you blokes get up to. Although I don't think Brad's lathe work is going to put Curtis from Cutting Edge out of business tomorrow... 🙂 Keep the videos coming, Matt!! We love them!

Great to see how the rock picker works. Looks a bit sketchy getting in underneath trying to get the rock out though. Still I guess you how the machine works.

I still have flashbacks to picking rocks by hand, one ute load after another. Hundreds of tonnes of rocks moved to bush strips, and yet every year when the drill goes over it, MORE BLOODY ROCKS :D If Phil didn't want to be on camera then he should try to be less interesting :P Love your work boys

Gday guys.. look it's no easy feat recording your life. What makes this work is you are all talented and genuine individuals, and remember if you meet a thousand people, not 1 of those people know you or see you the same as anyone else. So you guys are lucky on you tube because you guy's are so much to so many. Thanks Matt, Brad, Phil, Dad and all the crew. I spend every winter disassembling, fixing and maintaining a lot of gear. These guys who I see putting 700hrs on machines and trading really twist my tits, 10000hrs for me is a minimum. What that means is dirty hands and late nights at times but not wasteful. Also in my experience those KIVIPEKKA units are great for forest to farmland wood but what I call "ROCKS" they aren't man enough. Should be called a stone picker not rocks. I'm sorry your government is still holding up life with that Covid crap. Keep up the great work mate's from New Zealand.

Probably lots of ways of picking up the stones and rocks. Would something like a Himac claw grapple (Albany, Aus) on the blue New Holland work? Reverse the NH and Kivi-Pekka back from the big rock, use the claw grapple to pick the rock up (hopefully the soil drops out) and place in a front loader bucket on the Deutz tractor &/or small red tractor as carry and dump stone gofers. Might avoid carrying a 4 in one bucket full of big stones around. If the rocks get bigger then the Boss Attachment or Himac type hydraulic grabs and hydraulic grapple buckets on the excavator etc.

I was just about to ask what size rocks the rock picker could handle then the comparison to a 20 litre can was perfect!

Can’t believe how big that sprayer is when you are working next to it. It’s huge. Rock picking must the so boring in your huge fields when yon are used to using such wide equipment
