As a vita collector i can confirm that’s the muppets game is physically exclusive in europe. But the holy grail for vita exclusives in europe is the ratchet & clank trilogy (aka ratchet & clank collection in north america) it’s only physical in europe.
Games for the CD32 are a minefield in terms of quality, some will be complete remakes taking full advantage of the hardware, others are just straight ports from the Amiga which is why some games are CD sized while others are only a couple of megs. Just a note that the CDTV titles are compatible with the CD32 so Xenon 2 for the CDTV is worth looking for.
Amiga CD stuff isn't that confusing. Basically, the Amiga was a computer platform inself, with various models. Commodore embraced CD technology very early (circa 1990) with the Amiga CDTV. This was essentially an Amiga 500 computer, in a unit that looked like a piece of Hi-Fi equipment so it wouldn't look out of place connected to your TV in your living room. It was essentially the same sort of idea as the Phillips CDi, but base around Amiga hardware. Confusingly, Commodore dictated that it not be reffered to as an Amiga, or sold alongside them, but sales were dismal and they rolled back on that. Later, they released the A570 - an external CD Drive that would slot into the Amiga 500 and 500+'s side expansion, giving. it exactly the same abilities as the CDTV. You could also add a keyboard, mouse, floppy drive and hard drive to a CDTV, turning it into a full-fledged Amiga computer. Commodore eventually introduced the Amiga 1200 computer. This was the replacement for the Amiga 500 line, and was an incredibly powerful piece of hardware for the money (being fully 32bit with 16m colours). They then made this into the Amiga CD32 by removing the hard drive, floppy drive, keyboard and interface connectors, and giving it a CD drive. The CD32 also had a dedicated graphics chip or certain processes called Akiko. By this time, CD Rom had taken off massively in PC and Mac world, and the Amiga was lacking a CD unit for the A1200 (it lacked the edge connector that would have allowed it to use the A570). Commodore were working on one for the A1200 (which would have included the akiko chip), but went bust before it could be released. About the same time, many companies began offering external CD drives for the A1200, using either a PCMCIA to SCSI adapter, or an IDE CD-ROM drive in an external case with an adaptor allowing the A1200 to have two IDE channels. If a disc says Amiga CD on it, chances are it means it'll run on an Amiga CD32, or an Amiga-equipped A1200. If it says CDTV, its intended for that machine, the Amiga 500 with A570 nut will also run on a CD32 or A1200 with CD Rom. You can also turn your CD32 into a full Amiga with the right expansion, though units from the time are rare and expensive as hell. I belieive there is a modern solution though.
Found out early this month that there was a new Shin Chan game released in Japan and then found out that in Hong Kong they released the version with English translation. So was able to import it. Probably my only pick up this month
Wow, I actually used that Gamester GBA-SP grip as a kid. I believe it even has slots to hold extra cartridges underneath. I think it must have come in one of those large accessory packs, but man that shook a memory loose lol
I got to ask, Is there something, anything, dreamcast related (games/hardware etc...) that you're still "hunting" for? Or is it complete? Thanks for bringing it forward and making content about it. To this day dreamcast is near and dear to me. 🙏
@shazmanbound1496 So you're talking about a person you've never met. It's not so much his social media status & more the fact that because of his channel (which he puts considerable time & effort into) people know about his interests & it's nice to give people gifts. If you feel bad about Adam getting given some low to mid-value free stuff, you're gonna lose ur mind when you find out the free stuff celebrities get.
I have been looking forward to your UK pick ups update! Finally get to see what you got on your little UK adventures. We actually got the Amiga CD32 when it was released, think i still might have the box for it in the attic storage, it might be possible. It was not the best console but it had some interesting and fun games here and there among all the turds. Nexy year is the Impossible Mission, 2025 is just around the corner, so let´s see how it turnes out and how impossible it might get :D You can´ get to the treasure and gems unless going through all the garbage, and even garbage has history behind it that might give it some kinda value. Interesting pick ups, never give up the hunt or passion!
Man seeing all these Amiga CD 32 games makes Xbox One/Series X box art look super organized. Fucking hell they couldn't make up their mind with any of it
Some great CD32 pickups there. You were in the right place to get these. There’s a few AGA gems. I tend to use my Amiga 600 for gaming with a Gotek usb drive.
WooHoo!! That CD32 stack there has got some nice gems. You've got Lotus, Alien Breed, Gunship, Cannon Fodder and a bunch of Core Design titles, plus the Amiga's known platform games such as Zool & Fire & Ice. I've never looked at / for a full list of what was officially 'ported' to the Amiga CD32 (it's an Amiga that runs Amiga games), but you've got a nice stack there. I'll have a look at whether Magic Pockets and Xenon 2 had official CD releases (I reckon probably Xenon)... in fact - I'll see if I can find a list of everything, as it's getting more of my interest as a collector console - I might jump in and grab some of that collection. The 4MB games at the end, will have been ported from their floppy disk versions. Would have cost them so little to get that disc prepared, and that's the issue. Too many of the games were low effort ports of Amiga 500 games, that didn't take advantage of the Amiga 1200 / CD32 hardware, or even the full set of buttons on the control pad. You did well with that stack of games - excellent stuff.
That gameboy advance sp holder seems nice, i use it as the controller for the gameboy player because the d-pad is so tight, but the grip really could be bigger.
Ah, Fire and Ice, very decent PC platformer with Cool Coyote. Released also on Master System, among other systems. Played that on MS-DOS back in the day, had some fun with it, besides Jill of the Jungle. Those Dreamcast discs reminded me of one particular tech demo about a liitle game called Chakan. It would've been the sequel to the Megadrive (Genesis) one. It looked absolutely fabulous in 3D. And they cancelled it. I don't really know what direction they would've steered it, but I imagine something along the way of what Blood Omen 2 did. I would sell my soul to see that game released.
With all the weird console variations and complete set-style collecting. Is there any chance you'd do a video guiding us through, and showing us your collection in full? I'm real curious to see that really.
8:54 British English usually refers to collectives such as companies by the plural form, when not reflecting on the entity itself. E.g. Google *is* a company, but Google *are* doing something.
17:03 Okay, now we gotta get *AtGames Adam Koralik* put his AtGames console at a *Chicago Sky a.k.a. AtGames Bulls* game and get a picture with it and *Angel Reese a.k.a. AtGames Caitlin Clark*
Sooo I'm in UK, I have that club Saturn set, it's meant to have a black disc that says club Saturn and demo disc 1 in there not demo 1 and 2 The music cd is great and it's lots of well known sega music ( nights, virtual fighter etc ) mixed by prominent djs ( of the time)
Nice haul Adam, didn’t get much this month. Ray Storm and Quake 2 (PS1), Wario World (GC) and Dino Crisis (DC) I sold half of my collection this month about 700 games though, needed the extra money but I wanted to get a few more games I really wanted.
I had a CDTV, I bought it cheap as the format was dying (I never got a CD32). I bought it because if you added a disc drive and keyboard to it you could run it as an Amiga 500 computer. Some 500 computer games wouldn’t run because the CD drive used a small amount of memory but you could upgrade the machine with extra ram to overcome that issue. Cannon fodder is a great game from my childhood 😊.
Looks like they treated you like a retro gaming god on your visit, very cool. About the Club Saturn CD you've received there, I have it too but I'm afraid you're missing the original music cd and got the Sega Flash vol. 1 instead. The Sega Flash vol. 2 is also included in mine but instead of vol.1 I have a music cd with the tracks mentioned on the back of the cd case. They're tracks with samples from Sega Saturn games and are not that bad but obviously a bit dated now. BTW the Commodore CDTV was the predecessor of the CD32 which had an older Amiga operating system and more 'serious' software and less games compared to the CD32. The games were also mostly Amiga ports. It was supposed to compete with the Philips CDI. The Commodore Amiga was very popular here in Europe back in the day as many friends had one at home but the CD based Amiga's (CD32 and CDTV) struggled a lot to gain traction. A very enjoyable PlayLoad.
wow that's quite a haul! some streamer friends of mine have played a bunch of that phoenix garbage on stream, so I'm somewhat familiar with their output. it's so laughably bad, haha.
Awesome, many Amiga titles, I was involved with running the Amiga sections (South West Amiga Group) at Revival, we may have met, not sure... That some collection of Amiga stuff, big money too
Adam I wish you had been closer to my location in the UK. Next time you visit you are welcome to take my Amstrad GX4000 off my hands. I only have one game and I never play it.
Been watching you for a long time Ty for all you bring. Love all your restore videos. I was wondering if you are excited for the in television Amica lol
Looking back Datel we're baddass hackers, the guys who made Xeno Crisis told me they claim to still have the ability to make Gamecube disks, but they want crazy money as where else you gonna get then pressed?
@AdamKoralik I need pang & chopper £200+ each.. and if you count, chase hq as it was printed, but called back & some copies still leaked out & only 5 is know to be in collectors hands 😫
Hey guys it’s Adam here , I just picked up a bunch of stuff from the UK , Japan. Soon I will upload a video on picking up the new to Brazil Sega Neptune consoles that were recently just released 🪐
