LA is one of the few teams that has the defensive horses to contain McDavid, and Draisaitl, LA has 2 of the best D-pairs in the entire league (Doughty-Anderson & Roy-Gavrikov) both pairs are capable of 25+ min a night, both can shut down any line at any given time, and both are play drivers in fact all 3 LA D- pairs are amongst the best in the league driving play, LA's top 4 is vastly underrated in this series, just for some context over their last 10 games against EDM Gavrikov is a +2 and Roy is a +8

Only mistake coaching staff did was starting Skinner in last game history shows that Skinner isn't a good come back goaltender after a loss don't know what they were thinking but Picard should have started with all best players sitting it was a bad move hopefully Skinner can let it go but I think oilers should have tried to win that game they didn't but they put best starter in goal and he gets a free get all from all Colorado s best players bad move but Jets will beat Colarado with the 7 to 0 best they are going in good and I think have best goaltender in the NHL an experienced playoff veteran he is unbelievable the Jets have the best goaltender and rest of team is feeding off it and will even if Halbt plays not great he is still better then most and playoffs are won by the team who is playing with a hit goaltender

We're gonna see if this team has really grown through the adversity they've faced in prior playoffs, or, if they're just gonna be another Toronto Maple Leafs, and just crap the bed................... again. LA, with all due respect to them, should be a fairly comfortable cruise for this team. I would say 6 games max, maybe 5. If LA manages to give this team trouble, well, other teams are gonna take notice, and the unraveling will begin. The first round is going to determine much about whether or not this team has genuinely learned from prior playoffs, or not.

Just like last year a lot will rest on Skinner, he was not good enough last year. The officials, to what extent do they allow the Kings to clutch and grab and interfere. The defence, at times this year very solid, at times this year very porous...which version shows up!

Paul Coffee has made a big difference with the defense oilers are playing like coffee did he was excellent at defense but also a goal scorer and that's the biggest change this year the defense are playing great and scoring great hire oilers are a different beast this year and if you don't see it you don't know hockey
