I've tried both aswell by now. I must say H5 wins comfort for me, and I also like the chatmix function on it. I don't need bluetooth. For me as a casual game the sound is more than alright! Plus I got it for 133 euro's instead of 149. I didn't like the elite comfort, plus the design. Sound (played a clip from hogwarts legacy) was good, but missed bass on a clip from helldivers. But since I know the comfort of the elite will start to annoy me, I think the H5 (even for ps5) wins for me (but then again, that's me). Thanks for the great review though! :)
Hey, thanks for the video and amazing work. There are a lot "versus" discussions on reddit about Pulse Elites vs Arctis 7P. Can you make a detailed comparison video pls? I think you will get a huge amount of views - because this is the most discussed battle. Regarding the fabric/leather comfort and more of the Bass comparison. Thank you in advance!
I was between Corsair Logitech Razer sennheiser, etc, I was reading on amz that the H5-9 sounded better than much of the headphone market, but with that sound test that you put at the end you made me decide for the H5, despite the RU-vid codecs, there is a clear difference to the Pulse, even in sound quality, sound much better the H5-9, thank you very much for this review, greetings from Colombia.
Hey man Thanks for the video but I would like to get your input which I didn't get from the video. Which one do you prefer between the two if you had to choose. Thanks
For me personally, I play 95% of my games on PS5...so the Pulse Elites suit my play style better. I also prefer the lower bass levels and more detail in the mids and hi's when playing online. But if I were a PC gamer... it'd be the H5's hands down. The the EQ and custom 360 reality mapping feature is pretty awesome.
Using my og Pulse headphones, it seems like the H5 sounds better in the test. Im not sure if it’s indicative of the actual sound elite and h5 produce tho. Elite is marketed as having lossless audio, does that make a difference?
I'm just curious, why doesn't anyone use the SkullCandy Crusher Evo's for gaming, I just recently within the last month upgraded my phone from a LG V20 to a Nubia Red Magic Pro 9 and the sound quality and loudness is amazing in both Bluetooth and 3.5mm jack, I just figured I'd ask because I'm a nut for the SCE's, I use them for everything, now don't get me wrong the sound has nothing on the V20's ESS Dac, the Qualcomm Dac in the NRMP 9 sounds more like a flat setting closer to the MoonDrop Dawn Dac
When i plug my inzone H5 using the bluetooth the first couple of minutes it works perfectly like i can mute and unmute by simply putting the mic up or down and increasing the game or party audio button but after a couple of minutes it doesn't work like when i put the mic up or down the mic stays on mute and when i press the game or party audio it doesn't change So can anyone tell me why?
Is it me or Sony uses the same resources and similar materials underneath their headphones that cost between £100 and £400? The only thing that seem to differ is the design. I am a huge Sony fan in the paat 10years but think we are sold the same products with different outfit 🤔
@@WhatGear and between Sony's own products. I think WH1000X series including M2, M3, M4 and very likely M5 will likely share 90% of their electronic components and as customers we are paying a premium every other year for almost identical products. This is also happening with the majority of the headphones regardless of company nowadays
That sound test was really helpfull. The sound quality is better on pulse elite and i dnd notice a lack of bass actually. One thing that called my attention is that you mentioned that the inzone H5 has 3.5 jack connection but as far as I know the pulse elite also has this only that it doesnt come with the 3.5 cable.
@@SurrealKai the inzone headsets on Ps5 work basically the same. In regards of mic, you can only mute it by pulling the mic up on vertical position. At least that how it works for inzone H7
In my opinion, Elite noise cancellation was much better and if you are buying a headset to use ps5, it is better to choose Elite because it has better compatibility and 100% Elite microphone is much better because it is hidden. elite will be in 2024.
I bought the elite and I heard too much of the surrounding noise to be honest, haven’t tried the h5 but I may just be used to noise canceling headphones I use for music
I prefer in ones because I had this error which kept me from connecting my pulse elite to my ps5. I had an error where ps5 said that the pulse elite headset doesn’t support ps5. I had to change twice. So I prefer inzone
The plastic that lies on head is a big downside from PlayStation headsets. The issue is, it keeps falling off on top of my hair. Because of my black silky hair gets too slippery to any plastic. So after trying Inzone headsets. I can say im not disappointed after spending lots of my money on it.
First of all this is a great video comparing both headphones. Second I just bought the elites and was very disappointed with the sound quality compared to the 3D pulse and the platinums. Just bad sound quality overall with the sounds being way too sharp and loud that make the guns in COD sound so bad. Second the bass is HORRIBLE. When just at 0 bass at the EQ settings flying down from a battle royal game like blackout or war zone the bass sounds like it’s blown out makes a very loud unusual noise. Also no game and chat audio balance buttons on the headphones or an option on the ps5 unless you’re in a party chat. The best part about them is muting the mic from the controller and being able to connect via Bluetooth plus the design and wireless charging. Other than that where it matters most they’re a disappointment for COD players and people who value controlling the game/chat audio.
