What a perfect analysis, almost covered every aspects that would concern a potential buyer. Your great video sure clarified a lot of my confusions.Thank you.
I love your reviews. I’m trying to compare Sony INZONE vs Bose QuietComfort Ultra and now I understand why the INZONE is only for gamers. Thank you for your reviews!
I also bought the inzone buds, had them for some time, and the sound is awesome... I use them with Legion Go and remotely PS5 console... I also can connect inzone buds to my Note 20 Ultra android device it comes with a dongle for that support. Also, inzone buds are built very well as they do not feel cheaply made, nice review 👍🏽
I play Call Of Duty online, due to that & good quality audio needed playing such a competitive game, I decided to go with the Playstation Explores. I need & prefer crystal clear audio over loud rambunctious nonsense that is bass induced such as gunfire & grenades or other explosions that are irrelevant to the match. I have to be able to hear the lighter, much quieter sounds such as footsteps, doors opening/closing, or people going through loot crates, lockers, or even reviving otger team members. Therefore, im gonna keep all the way 'G" & say this.... If you require or wish to hear finer detailed audio & other crucial aspects of competitive gameplay when it comes to "GAMING" at all or in general, then trust me.... Playstaion Explores are what you want. Thats me keeping it all the way 1,000 Y'all.... These earbuds are definitely being undervalued with abunch of videos of people focusing on bass & music quality instead of what they were actually made & intended for, which is "gaming" NOT bumping the newest hip/hop OR rock & roll albums/bands. That is exactly why one is made by the SONY musical focused audio group & one is made by the SONY gaming side of the company. Two Completely different aspects of audio & HUGE difference maker when it comes to hearing absolutely every aspect of a video gaming session and/or enjoying a favorite song properly. I will leave everyone with this & this is FACTS..... I own both pair, use the inzones for phone calls & music & use the Pukse Explores for all of my gaming sessions & not once while gaming since using these earbuds have i said or uttered the famous words of, "I didn't even know he was there." 😂💯 These PULSE EXPLORES are "Gaming Earbuds" made officially for GAMERS. Not for music listening or talking on the phone ect. ANYONE that says that the PlayStation Explores are NOT the best earbuds acailable on the market today. Especially when it comes to "GAMING" is most definitely smoking rocks. 😂😅 They Are A-1 all the way across the board Dude when focused on gaming without a doubt. They are amazing, i can literally hear things i have NEVER heard before with ANY other headphones or earbuds. I can practically hear enemies running around in houses or buildings 40 meters or more away from where im at. Especially when utilizing the correct audio output setting & the 3D Audio functionality that comes on the PS5. I'm able to tell exactly which direction the sounds are coming from & always get the drop on my opponents everytime. I'm beyond 100% satisfied withmy choice & purchase. Thanks for the video though my man keep em coming! 👍🏼💜👍🏼
@@DEEJAY_MONSTAhey how's the sound quality on the phone and PC via Bluetooth. I game on a legion go and I can use the dongle at home but not while traveling so I need to know the sound quality without the dongle. How different is it?
I bought the inzone as they seem better than the Pulse explore. 12 hours battery time was a deal breaker for me..The sound is amazing, next level compared to my overear Pulse 3d..
If your gaming for 12 hours straight. Then you need to get out of the house & get socially proactive. Find you a woman or man anything other than your hand. 😂
@@Camouflage3680 I got a better question. Who on earth wouldn't want to utilize the 3D audio functionality that is on the PS5 when wearing earbuds or a headset while gaming? That would be idiotic. 🤷🏼♂️😆💯‼️
But the explores have better everything. The only reason it has a good battery is because the Bluetooth is old and doesn't work with hardly any device. They straight up won't connect to any iPhone without the dongle. The clarity with the explores is also top of the line. Fpr gaming the explores are the overall better option regardless of battery life.
@@aaronsmith7143 Its not about the bluetooth when connected to Ps5 and it still has 12 hours of battery time. You can think that its the same quality in sound but the specs doesn't say that. Inzone buds are more like Sony XM5 with a soundprofile for games. But hey, i never tried the explores so i can only speak about Inzone and what my dealbreaker was and that was the batterytime plus sound...
I bought the Pulse today (still in the box). I got GameStop gift cards for Christmas 🎄 and was in the store today and decided I didn’t need more games and decided to pull the trigger on Sony’s new earbuds. I really hope I love them! I’ll open tomorrow and see what I feel like. Will get back to you! I basically know I want a PORTAL in the future and wanted to halve the cost. 200 now for the pulse and 200 later for the portal.
Hello, I would very much appreciate a follow-up from you, if possible. I have the same dilemma as you, don’t know which one to get; I should mention, I don’t really care about multiple connectivity or other special features. I’m only looking for the best sound quality on the PS5. Could you maybe give your thoughts? Is Planar really better? Thank You Very Much!
the only complain i have with pulse explore (for ps5/portal use) is the random disconnect/reconnect, sometime it wont reconnect after disconnect. It is very annoying when this happens
Been watching for a while but thought I should say, you’re reviews are always super helpful and ALWAYS help me pick my holiday gifts 😂 Happy holidays man, I owe you a beer
Had the Pukse Explore and they are a waste of money. Sounds like one bud is louder than the other and sounds flat on PS5 & PC. Been having issues after an hour of use where team mates are struggling to hear me saying I'm breaking up or the buds disconnect & reconnect often. I end up going back to my Pulse 3D Headphones.
Sony playstation and sony audio are separate parts of the company. Sony audio make the world class XM5 in ear and over ear headphones and also the inzone buds, the speakers and processing is similar to that of the XM5s which are the best bluetooth headphones on the market. The pulse headphones are made by the PlayStation side of sony, sub-par performance. I would heavily recommend the inzone buds for audio quality.
@@DEEJAY_MONSTA go with which ever you feel is right for you! Keep in mind that sony audio is encompassed with sony europe the ones who develop the TVs, Audio devices including top rated cinema speaker systems snd amplifiers. Its not just bass heavy, its well balanced with better frequency response and better processing chipsets which has been perfected over years in the cinema industry mastering dolby audio! Plus the inzone app and design are much easier to use and more comfortable! Also noice cancelling makes the experience a lot more immersive :)
@@stretch493 you can have the best drivers in the world but you need the sound knowhow and experience to use them effectively. I worked for Sony for years i know the ins and the outs of the Products, people just love to disagree just to feel superior. If you have a 4k gaming monitor but you have a GTX 1060 what is the point? You need the engine to drive it to its potential. Sony Europe who develop the TV and AV side of things have decades more experience, Sony PlayStation develop create great visual content and stories plus an amazing gaming device but for the best audio i would stick to the part of the company that has created thousands of songs, movies, audio products like the XM5s and professional studio equipment.
@@DEEJAY_MONSTA you are an idiot if you think a company being “gaming focused” gives them an advantage in audio product creation. The goal of most games is to make them more cinematic and realistic and the part of the company that makes the inzone buds also creates the audio products for cinemas, soundstages and music studios. They aren’t just focused on music, the products they create are designed to have a wider range of frequencies and natural reproduction. Sony PlayStation just likes to make things cheap and cheerful, not quality.
I have and love both of them. Hate the battery life of the pulse and I hate that only pc users can tweak the equalizer settings. They need a phone app to do the same in my opinion. Pulse has eq settings but they’re preset. Standard sound for gaming on both is top notch. So I switch when I feel the need to. They’re both great tho
The Pulse Explores are flat by design. You have to EQ them in the PS5. It completely changes the way the earbuds sound. Might need to go back and make a new video?
Great review this is my first time watching your channel and you got a subscriber !!! I haven’t seen any videos on the new sony earbuds until now and didn’t know in-zone had earbuds, I’ll definitely go with in-zone base of the review 12 hour battery life is great.
I have both of them! The Pulse Explore buds are really good for hearing individual sounds on the playstation. If you are an audiofile, you'll love them. The Inzone Buds are better at everything else though.
Thanks my friend! It was really helpful to see your video. I have a question for you: between inzone or logitech g fits which would you highly recomend?
Help guys , I have a little hearing loss in both my ears and I want to know which is the loudest earbuds for ps5 ? I only play call of duty , I have the steels series 7p+ but I’m getting tired from headphone and want an earbuds
I have JBL TUNE Buds and they are also LE standard but I am able to conenct them to my iPhone 12 Pro, Lenovo laptop with BT 5.2 and Macbook Air M1. They also work with my NUC12SNKi72 and PS5. Not sure what the deal is with theis new LE standard but mine works. They dont even have a dongle. I had option to buy Quantum TWS but I don't want to pay more than 120$.
How about the actual gaming audio. Is it really detailed with 3D audio? I play dead by daylight so having those detailed sounds is really needed. I travel a lot and bring my PS5 with me so having small buds is more convenient. Great Video. Thanks
Great video! So quick question. I already have a pair of earbuds. They are Bose brand. And so when I game, I use a transmitter that I have connected to my ps5. Works great. So since the PS Portal only supports the Pulse earbuds, can't I just run the audio from the ps5 and just continue using my Bose earbuds? lol I'm not planning to travel with the thing. Itd save me money.
Just a bluetooth transmitter. But never mind, I got the PS Portal a few days and yeah, it works =) I'm surprised a lot of channels don't cover this information. Though I have come across a few (and it's nice that you are one of them). Thanks for the response!
I have the Inzone Buds. Perfect audio but issues with the mic(s). If I talk too loud, the audio crackles. I have been told that it sounds unbearable. For some reason not very noticeable on PC, but VERY noticable on PS5. Anyone else experience the same thing?
Can this work with older Android models like The S10? Bluetooth wise Or should i just use the transmitter I'm talking about the sony inzone Or should i just get the pulse explore?
Sony is really annoying about what connections work easy. Soundcore makes a nice ear bud set for VR gaming and its only $70. I use them on the ps5 and pc while still using my phone.
Brother, I want to buy surround headphones I am confused which one to buy. Do you advise me to buy Anker life Q30 headphone? Or should I buy an Ankbit E600 pro headset?Which headphones are easier to apply, and which headphones have a louder mm?
Hello Ceon, im thinking of buying the Inzone buds but I gotta know. in performance what buds is better between gaming and sound quality this buds being the Sony Inzone Buds vs the Soundcore Vr P10.
How do they stack up with the jbl quantum tws? I’ve read about it and they seem to have bigger 10mm drivers compared to 8.4mm of the sony’s. But what about the sound?
Both of these earbuds are excellet choices for gaming, and an immerssive gaming expirence. It all boils down to your prefrences in sound If you prefer clear, crisp and accurate acoustics the Pule Explorers would be a good choice. The Explorers use Planar Magnetic drivers that are designed for ultra clarity, so you will not get heavy bass from them,a little but not as muchas as what you would hear in regular earbuds. However when used for gaming you can literally hear EVERYTHING going on in the game.....literally everything. However, if you prefer more heavy bass I high recomment the Inzones earbuds. The sound quality in them are also very good and has a 12 hours battery life which is incredible. However please note not the Inzones use low energy Bluetooth(which is why they have a crazy long battery life). Very few devices are compatible with this. Iphones are not compatible with the Inzones via Bluetooth and only a handfull of Android models are . The only way you can connect them with most devices is with the Type C dongle it comes with. But in terms of sound quality, iver heard nothing but good things about them. Me personally I love the Pulse Explorers! Up until i got them I had never heard Planar Magnetic sccoustics before and I was blown away by them. When I use them, it actually makes me feel like in in the game. I had never had such an immersive expirence like that before while gaming. I was listening to a podcast while gaming with them and it felt like i was in the studio with them. Which brings me to my next point, the explorers have dual connectivity meaning you can listen to other audio audio while gaming on your PS5/PS Portal/PC , and it will blend both audio outputs and does it very well.
So I have the sony enzone monitor and the Sony Link s earbuds, while they are great especially with the noise cancelling, but I'm a stickler for matching which is why I traded the Alienware monitor for the Sony enzone m9 monitor, now the Sony Link s buds don't match so I want the pulse explorer cause the pulse 3d's suck, they have horrible noise cancelling, so what the noise cancelling like on both of these, I'm only using for PlayStation, cause what you said about the not connecting to phones is true, I have a moto g stylus and the Sony Link s earbuds dont hook to my phone only my PlayStation. Oh nevermind I got to the part of the video where you answered my question about the noise cancelling, but since I have the enzone monitor will the Sony inzone buds work better cause of that?
I’m taking pulse over inzone the base thing isn’t needed for gaming the pulse has better balance that noise canceling thing has anybody use the pulse cause I have and shit when I have them in I don’t hear shit only better thing about the zones is better battery
The lack of noise cancelling in the pulse and also half the battery life is a big downside for me, but the pulse look nicer. The pulse seems to lose out on a lot of points like connection as well. I plan on using it only with the PS5.
The inzone buds use archaic Bluetooth which is why the battery lasts. As others have stated the inzones don't work with many devices over Bluetooth. You have to use the dongle.
@lavayuki For pure clarity while gaming, the pulse buds are the better option. The planner drivers it uses offer clarity you've probably never experienced unless you have a set of multi thousand dollar speakers or headphones. Going off of sound quality alone it goes to the pulse buds.
@lavayuki If you like a lot of base then the inzones have more. But again, for me personally, clarity and accuracy in sound is far more important in gaming.
Just dont buy them then!! There s no need to throw away money like that. Pulse are just overpriced in every way for the very few features they have. Save the money for something worth
Gaming headphone comparison that doesn't mention latency? From what you told Inzone looks like obvious winner, but doesn't the range (not that I would care) and battery life stem from the fact that this has lower latency (does it use 2,4ghz, what's the pooling rate)? And what about bitrate of the audio? I'm also very not satisfied with explanation of sound characteristic of this device. Overall shitty overview to be honest.
