I get what you mean, and agree this was an 8/10 SoP, but given they have only had 1 actual showcase in the last 3 years? It might be good for a SoP, but we haven't had a "good for a showcase" showcase from Sony in 4 years now. Maybe longer.

The funniest thing in the reaction to this SoP, is how Jin Sakai has somehow now become tbis legendary PlayStation character, who coudlnt possibly be followed up on. I dont recall this sort of passion for his specific character beforehand. Something tells me if it was a new guy as the main character, there wouldn't be near as many people up in arms over this... What made Ghost lf Tsushima great was the setting, gameplay etc. Jin was a perfectly serviceable main character to go through this journey with, but he was pretty vanilla lets be honest.

I got 5 releases out of this that I’m definitely buying (Ghost, Kain, Lego Horz, Lunar, Monster Hunter) and 3 that I’m glad to wait and see (Hell is Us, Towers of Aghasba, DWO), so, a very solid showing for me. It was very good, not great. They needed something to really specifically showcase the PS5 Pro, that would have made it great - to Me.

The hitman reloaded is a horrible game on quest 3. Mike there is not even a comparison to what this Psvr2 hitman is vs the quest one. The quest one is like worst then ps1 graphics and have flopped big time. This is the definitive Hitman game to play in VR

@Shrewdy1 Mike did explain worh honesty that the quest port looks like a potato and has many issues, and he would wait for reviews on this to see if this one is much better. This batch here is a honest bunch. They rightly shit of psvr2 as Sony refuses to proudly market it. But Sony is still supporting it at a low level which is all that matters if you are a VR fan

People were saying this was a big flop of a State of Play…But I thought “Midnight Walk”, “Hell is Us”, and “Ghost of Yotei” look amazing! Sure I also wish we got like 2-3 huge massive announcements considering it’s been since Wolverine was announced that we got like a massive huge announcement for PS5. I wish we got a new massive IP game coming, got an announcement from Santa Monica what their new Sci Fi game they’ve been working on for the past 3-4 years, and maybe some reboots or sequels to existing IP of games we have not gotten for S5 yet (Jak & Daxter, Sky Cooper, JetMoto, Twisted Metal, Tomb Raider, Infamous, MediEvil, etc like why have they just let these ip die or collect dust?

I wish I was a Ghost fan. It has incredible combat, amazing visuals and a good story but it’s wrapped in a very generic open world gameplay loop. Check the map, go to point of interest, trigger combat, clear out enemy camps, etc.

This State of Play consisted of games that have been showcased already, third-party mid games, VR games, minor DLC/updates, a cash grab remaster of HZD, 2 remasters of PS1 games that really needed remakes, new colored plates/controllers, a reminder of how the PS5 Pro enhances games you've probably already played, and a Ghost of Tsushima 1.5. Yeah, a 6/10 for me.
