Data logging & Alarm logging in PLC-SCADA with Siemens Wincc Advanced software & S7-300 PLC .
From the data logging in SCADA we can save the analog signal data which is coming from field sensor in real time and after logging data you can view this data from Historical data file. Same as you can log the data for alarm also and later on for evolution or maintenance you can fetch this data from server storage.

Sir I am using Siemens S7-200 plc (cpu 224xpcn)......I want you to help me out from a problem....that how actually we work on WinCC while using s7 200 PLC.........Please give me some solution

+Kush Chaudhary Every Siemens S7 CPU works same as other S7 PLC. Only communication protocol can be changed like Ethernet or Profibus. Or Addressing will be different on S7 200 CPU.

Actually I am using PC/PPI Cable for communication bt in WinCC there I didn't find the communication medium for that cable.

At the Storage Location I have only "Memory" and "Database".I didn't have CSV file

The same way you can configure Alarm Logging but it's depends upon logging cycle and data server capacity.

Professional and Advance Wincc both are same. Only tagging facility increased in professional and some facilities they increased.
