Man of the Year award goes to Bruno for loving his wife regardless of what she looks like and encouraging her to just be herself and as farma said it's nice to see that they still have the spark after so many years a true happy couple right there.
Farma's father is definitely and totally Top Tier here. He can learn a thing or two from him, if Farma is to be ever in love with someone of his own age.
They also put mercury in the Dye for top hat's back in the day too; its where the term "Mad Hatter" came from as the hat makers were particularly susceptible to mercury poisoning.
For those curious about the white face makeup- it was a cosmetic called Venetian ceruse, said to have been made from water, vinegar and lead. It was particularly popular in the 16th century, and indeed caused death by lead poisoning. One of the more famous victims was Maria Coventry, the Countess of Coventry, who died in 1760 when she was only 27 years old.
Part of the vicious cycle of early white face powder was that they would often cause heavy acne and sores to manifest. And how did people cover up these facial blemishes? You guessed it. More white powder. Which of course would cause more acne and sores, which people would cover with even more white powder or even white paste. Smart people probably figured out the causation pretty quickly, but because pale faces were the standard of beauty and white powder helped with that, many people simply denied that it was an issue and kept using it.
not true the problem is your lack of integrity. Just be honest if your wife is getting fat just tell her. That way if she asks you a question and she says the classic your just saying that because your my husband. Well then you can point out that is obviously not true.
@@captain_misaki You mean like if she can cook? Yeah, some women will go full on tsundere on you the way many anime tsunderes have been doing since Familiar of Zero. Then again, there are women who aren't offended by such questions.
I haven't watched this show yet, but I assume it's set in an old age, hence the old chemical nomenclature. Nowadays, people would say mercury (I) chloride.
Kind of. Parallel world that's similar to our world around medieval times, or Victorian times, but with magic. The main character is a pharmacist who died of overwork and reincarnated in that world as a child with all of his memories and knowledge, as well as magic powers that a basically like Alchemy from Full Metal Alchemist. So he uses his knowledge and powers to run a pharmacy for the poor and the rich.
