My niece wanted those Patrick Ta highlighters. so we went to the Sephora. It was the most disappointing swatch experience. We tried the white one and it was just straight glitter. no shine, no sheen. It seems like an idea that simply didn’t need to happen.

So surprising about those Patrick Ta highlighters! I got the blush duo a couple years ago on your recommendation and of course it's great. What a missed opportunity for them to knock it out of the park with the highlighters!

I HATE hilighters that are just straight glitter. I don't understand why brands do that! Having a glittery highlighter is one thing, but when it's just straight glitter with nothing else it's honestly just disappointing

what are your fav fuller coverage long wearing matte foundations that have options for pink undertones (urban decay runs yellow lol); my fav foundation is estee lauder double wear so that is the type of foundation i love

I love the Glow Recipe sunscreen stick but I'm very dry and don't wear complexion products outside, during the day, in the summer. Hence, it's really convenient for me to reapply. Cannot even imagine trying to lay coverage products over it or applying it over foundation.

I LOVE the Saie blushes and I passed on the bronzers based on mixed reviews. I opted instead for the new Mario liquid bronzer and I love it!!!

i have the catrice melt and shine lip balm in shade 100 sunny side up. i have no issues with pigment or packaging, but i agree with you that the taste is awful 😭 i really wanted to love them.

I agree with you about the Buxom lip balms. Luckily i got mine as a free product, but i hated them. They reminded me of cheap kids makeup and smelt like that too.

I don’t really like the formula of the SAIE blush. I was so excited too but it’s not for me. It’s kind of sticky and wears away if you put powder on top.

I do think I prefer the Rare Beauty formula in the end because it does wear so well with creams or powders!

MERIT has some beautiful products but not many people talk about them that creams. The highlighter looks beautiful. It appears to be a pretty iridescent glow without the glitter. MELT also has beautiful cream products and they are not talked about at all.. I have several shades of their cream blushes and they are my favorites of all the cream blushes. Pigmented, soft blend like a dream and last longer than any other cream blush in my collection(which I have just about all of them because I am a cream complexion, lover due to my dry leaning skin). Thank you for taking the time and sharing your “research “ with complete strangers on the Internet. I appreciate it.❤

I LOVE the catrice lip oils, especially the orange one, but those have the same issue that sooooo many lip oils - the packaging. I've used three of those up and decided that I refuse to buy it anymore since the oil leaks everywhere

I hated the fenty hydrating concealer its so dry n gave me no coverage. It kind of disappeared quickly too. The kylie one was way too thick dry and creasey. The dior forever concealer is good sometimes but it is extremely easy to apply too much and it gets cakey as soon as I blend it in

I love the Catrice gloss sticks because they aren't as glossy however, I went online and gave them a bad review because of the clicker and wouldn't buy them again. I bought two and both of them are defective. I DID just order a Colourpop one so I'm excited to try if after seeing your review! Love this video!!

I was so set on buying the Patrick Ta highlighter the moment I can get my hands on them in Europe. Now I’m really second guessing. I checked out the Merit alternative you mentioned and it’s absolutely gorgeous but they don’t ship to the Netherlands 😩 still on the hunt for a highlighter that gives a healthy wet looking highlight.

Speaking of powder dry shampoos-have you tried one called “I dew care: tap secret mattifying dry shampoo powder?” I have dark hair and I really like that one but you really have to work it in to get rid of the white cast. They make one for dark hair though that I haven’t tried

I saw a video where you put mattifying Micellar water in a spray bottle and spray your roots and then blow dry them, section by section, and it works just like dry shampoo. The best dry shampoo I have used is batiste.

I think the second xmas palette was the first “bad” release from PT. These Highlighters are the second as far as I heard. Didnt buy any of the two so cant say from experience

Saie bronzer is amazing❤ I love blushes too, too me is very similar formula, but I have a dry skin, it makes subtle glow with the blushes and cream bronzer

I like the glow recipe mixed in with spf but u get that it’s just a tinted spf that way haha but I think it’s nice for natural pool days

I didnt like the saie bronzer either because, though i love the saie blushes and the glow they give, i realized i dont love a shiny/glowy bronzer. It makes me look a bit greasy and im already oily, i regreted it but i couldn't get back to sephora before my return window passed so now i need to sell it on mercari

Have you tried the Glossier Cloud Paint bronzers? They're actually amazing, a million times better than the Saie and great if you want a liquid-y bronzer

Honestly, I really like the Fenty sunscreen when I’m not wearing make up because it’s a little bit thicker so I find it smoothing. I’ve also been using Hero Cosmetics one that is tinted green because it helps to cover some of my redness!

Yes! The NYX Milkshake glosses are some of my favorites because they are super smooth and glossy but they still have good pigment. I also love the Catrice Lip Jams because they feel high end but they are affordable. The Lawless glosses are my number one because they are super thick and plush but some people do consider them to be a little bit sticky so those might be worth swatching in store before buying!

Love this video, thank you for the information. I was at Walmart today they had a Lottie London brand display had several summer type products. I purchased a pinkish balm I thought it was a blush but it has no color, am I supposed to use that for a highlighter as it does have a shine, I have not purchased any other balm products as I have oily skin, just not sure what to do with this item? i suggest you try the Trader Joe's dry shampoo! it's only $5 and smells really lovely and luxurious (citrus with a bit of floral) and my coworker with dark black hair says it doesn't leave a white cast on him either. I didn't expect to like it but it's actually nice!

I like the Patrick Ta highlight in Daddy 🫣 - it’s definitely different but I like the look. I have dry skin and I’m older (62) so maybe that’s the difference?
