Sac dep spa is Vietnam. She is an esthetician, apparently dermatologists only diagnose and prescribe they don’t remove. As far as why they have more issues with acne I heard that because their hair is thicker their pores are bigger.
Dermatologists are not numerous and far beyond the means of the majority of the population. Far from "diagnosing and prescribing" most Vietnamese will only see a dermatologist if they happen by chance to mop her/his floors or mow her/his lawn! Medically they are unlikely ever to encounter one; scarcity and cost both being prohibitive. Antibiotics are available over the counter (which is not necessarily a good thing, I suspect that resistant acne is now in existence). Some of the spas have resident doctors but mostly the work is done with dexterity and experience. There seems to be an oily skinned heredity issue, and there are considerable hang-overs from a long and vicious war where a variety of chemical warfare agents were used... to no one's benefit; to say the least.
@@Sweetyhide The country is still very, very poor in many areas. As with many developing countries there is a new layer of rich people - but the people at the bottom are no better off than they have ever been. Information from a) Vietnamese government statistics and b) friends who live and work there. I did look it up and it is poor. Not the poorest country in the world, but still with a very largely poor population. You should go look it up properly.
@@jennypratt5345 I did look it up and the country is thriving. I am not saying there aren't poor people (everyone has poor), but the country is the most improved in the last few decades. Heck, their GDP is 15,470, which is better than almost half the countries on earth!
Hi Doc, I just wanted to say that I was told the reason so many people have bad acne in Vietnam is because of the agent orange from the war. Apparently it’s still affecting the people over there Deep Spa & Huong Da Nang Spa are 2 of spa’s I know of in Vietnam, but I’m sure there is many over there. Thank you for sharing your video ❤❤
😂 I LOVE watching the Sac Dep Spa ones. Thuy is good at what she does…a friend of mine got a job with STANLEY (those water cups) and was working out of Ho Chi Min city in Vietnam and said she noticed to that a lot of the people over there have really bad skin and said it was because of all of the sun exposure they get, poor skin care routines, etc. Watching some of those you would think they moisturized with Crisco🤭the last one, I always know it’s from “LIKE ME” because her gloves are always 4 sizes bigger than her little hands. Odd name but 🤷🏼♀️ these ones aren’t to bad! “Don’t play with your Cysts”😂😅right?
I read a post a couple of years ago that Vietnam has a lot of skin issues because of pollution in the air, water and land from wars. Also, that the doctors will not work on people with severe skin problems and send them to the spas. The people from the spas do work with the doctors if prescriptions and medications are needed. This may have changed in the past couple of years.
Sac Dep Spa is, indeed in Vietnam, in Ho Chi Minh city, and has been well established there for many years. There are several reasons for large skin problems in Vietnam. The usual heredity and hormones are major ones. But we seem to overlook the fact that Vietnam (aided and abetted by the USA and China) fought a vicious civil war over more than a decade; a war which ended just 50 years ago. The use of chemicals like (but not confined to) Agent Orange had significant and long lasting skin impacts which add to the problems of a nation where oily skin is normal. Whilst retinol etc etc might be helpful it is also beyond the means of many in a country where the average income is less than $3,000 per year and where there are still many homes which don't even have hot and cold running water!
While I hate the patient's plight of bad genes, weather, and the results of wars, I am so happy that they also have the technology to allow us popaholics to see these magnificent pops. Tell me doc, did you specialize in derm because you too are a popaholic, or did you join our ranks after you started your residency? Lol.
Vietnam: The constant heat and humidity levels promotes sweating and facial oil production, the down side to both is if you do not have a decent facial cleanser for your specific face and skin type plus your specific reaction to the humidity then you are likely to end up with skin problems!!
I was going to ask, why do so many have so many blackheads over there? I watch a lot of different ones from Vietnam. I just wonder if it is because they don’t have clean water?
There are multiple video creators here, Brufoil is tagging LIke Me's video like it is his. That's the problem with these TikTok videos, too short and many are pirated from the original creators.
