Yeah, you can totally do deep core mining already. I have 2 deep core mines on Venus with 6 basic Centrifuges processing the ores from overflow chutes. (There's no reason to run the combuster centrifuge and have to get fuel...) I am also using the tall wind power, but I only have 4 batteries and 14 turbines and they keep up with the power demand. You'll not get off-gassing (which is bad for getting O2, but good because your furnaces NEVER cool down...) It's probably a good simple script exercise to loop through all the centrifuges and empty them when they fill up (400 Reagents or Error 1, open lever, close on 0), sort the ores, and process them. Though, if you want to sell some of the ore unprocessed, you can make some decent money from traders simply selling coal and iron since you'll get a ton of it via deep core.

I can't believe the sheer amount of stress that I went though for you to make a runway. I thought in my head you had seconds left on the clock. It wasn't until you pressed the "land" button I realised you had 7 minutes... Then I seen the prices and I honestly though "NOOOOOOO Not enough money!!!"

I'm curious to see how you will continue to develop in Venus. Survival isnt going to be nearly as hard for you now. Will the series end when you launch and explore Venus's orbit? Key moments I recalled: 2:20:50 - so close.... 4:14:53 The moment splitsie sunk into despair... The hard part was I mentioned to check before adjusting the pad as that would have kept him from calling it down... but also his fate was sealed when the storm happened because that would have stopped it too. 4:34:52 - A NEW HOPE I havent checked back to confirm exact numbers, but it seems like it took splitsie 25 traders before he saw his first seed trader after setting up the landing pad, and finally, I think 28th was the charm.

You inspired me to play on venus, and I got seed trader on third attempt :)

13:00 - You know, looking at your batteries and how they are draining/charging and how they are _wired together,_ it seems like it's charging and draining based on wire distance or similar. Notice that the bottom left battery is fully charged, meaning it has either highest priority for gaining charge or lowest priority for losing it (or both). The one above it and the one to its right are roughly equally drained, and bother are 2 further wire lengths from the output wire. The top right one is a further two wires from that output, and is completely drained. If that's the case, the best option will be to ensure the wire path to each of the batteries is the same, meaning you'll need to come into the batteries at the center point of those 4 connections.

hope Toby has a speedy recovery, Splitsie.... as a father of 3 it's always a scary time when they aren't well is there a way to have a sheltered area for the signal panel but have the dish outside or on top of the shelter ?

You don't lose water from showering, you just make it dirty, so you just need to clean it.

@2h:17m if you power the dish separately then connect the data line to everything else using light cable, it would both solve the isolation issues as well as the low chance of connecting the different systems issues

Can you mix the O2 with N 20/80 like in our normal atmosphere? this could save you a lot of O2 if its used for cooling your suit

While it's true the beacon uses a ton of power, it's smaller battery powered version does not, if you put a wireless battery in it, and you put a second tablet with the tracker cartridge where you store your drill, you never need to worry about getting lost, i also like to change all the tools i use around the base with wireless batteries, it's so nice not having to change batteries

You should color code your pipes. It will help to not connect to the wrong pipe systems.

Only an hour in and I have to make this comment. From the furnace room looking at the airlock, it would have been easier to connect the left-hand pipe to the O2 line as you already had an active vent connected to the dining room. The right-hand pipe would be able to act as the coolant loop without having to do any crazy pipe bending as a result.

Have you tries to test to see if the pipe heaters are more efficient on normal pipes, instead of trying to force heat through insulation?

Perhaps this could be the coding project, detect when there is a high production of power, i.e. when there is a storm, and have that activate the heating coils. Turn off when Storm is over, that is when production drops from a certain threshold. Detection could be through measuring the power directly, through the weather station or if battery capacity is over x%

Regarding Stationeers vs Space Engineers I describe it as SE is focused on designing structures while Stationeers is focused on designing systems.

The power controller has 2 states, for power in from left or right, so that you can keep them the right way up

On the topic of a game between stationeers and space engineers: A heavily modded KSP install with all of the ship building/lifesupport mods comes close, but the focus on ksp is always going to be flying, not survival

An idea on what you could do to not get lost. Place a few frames and make little waypoints. You can also remove when your done

Can you make a reverse heat pump? I can’t remember if stationneers has the right physics for that.

"I had 3 goals, remember 2", maybe we could get one down today 🤣 not worth balancing the batteries, but if you really want to, much better to unify the power input, just joining all 10 Wind Turbine sectors in "One sector", but join them with big transformer, so, in storms, you can turn them off so cables don't blow up. For the trader, don't wait all the way for the green bar, you can tell if it improved or not by the speed it fill up

yeah, batteries drain in sequence. if all of the batteries are connected to the same output it will be fine. Mood and hygiene recharge over like 10 minutes when you're not in your suit, sadly there's no way to see the exact values :(

As an idea, maybe make a set of batteries just for your pipe heaters, then have your one or two turbines just feed those Batteries, that way your using less power for your base, and it's not as critical if they run out of juice, just have it heat small batches at a time

Having the tablet display it's stuff while it's in the dock? Hello CPU load, goodbye framerate. It's still a useful thing though - put a tablet dock with a plant analyzer tablet in it next to your farm, etc.
