I've never played the console version of the game. How are the controls?

For xbox i found it slightly rough. Having to use my left trigger to use my secondary attacks seemed wierd. Especially as a melee type where a split second decision could mean life of death.

Thanks for the comment! Great to hear the opposing argument also. I guess it's a question of personal taste. I would rather have Origins remastered than DA4. Unless they return to form and make a real RPG with a robust combat system. Also if EA could chill with the DLC that would be great. Unfortunately Battlefront 2 has shown that they will not. Did you like Inquisition?

I did like Inquisition but not as much as Origins. Origins is my favourite DA game and this is why I don't want to see it remastered. Now that some of the key developers of Origins have left Bioware, I doubt that the current Bioware team could do Origins justice. Although Inquisition had superior graphics, in my opinion Origins had a better world design. In Origins, the atmosphere is very dark and gritty, compare this to Inquisition where everything looks clean, and the lands look picturesque and the spells are flashy and colourful. 'Fable Anniversary' is a good example of what could go wrong - where they improved graphics but messed up the atmosphere. Some of of the reasons why Origins was so good is because it was a primarily a PC game and because Bioware wasn't owned by EA at the start of the development. The target audience for DAO remastered would be console gamers - people whose only RPG experiences are games like Skyrim and Fallout 4 rather than RPGs like Dagerfall, Baldur's Gate, Gothic or Fallout 2. You can expect the remaster to be streamlined (in a bad way) with inferior controls, inferior UI, limited party AI customisation, fewer RPG elements and with some shit that EA would add to appeal to the shareholders and the 'wider audience'.
