... People don't like Nibiru becuase it forces them to think less; it's nothing to do with skill. Both players have to run Nibiru, therefor decks become more predictable and game becomes less fun. Neither player can special summons 5+, which limits most decks and removes summon heavy decks like Speedroid, Hero, Orcust and Pendulum from viability. Which means they won't be played, which means even less variety. Saying people don't like Nibiru "because it forces them to think" is an extremely unintelligent thing to say.
I will not be going onto this selection box. I don't care for the sky striker stuff. I can just play the free skill with my 1 raye if I want. I was actually hoping for a pick-up box for Star seraph if people wanted to play that deck. Really tired of the paywall cards after 7.5 years. 😮💨
Nib is not very good into the current meta, but knowing Konami, we will probably get a meta where decks summon more than 5 times regularily in order to make people spend money. They really need to stop doing this with Selection Box cards, it shits on alot of decks.
Well i think i try to go for one copy of nibiru. Just to have it in case we get Crossout designator in the near future. But i wouldn't pull with Money. Just some gems and see what a get.
I want say first of all that i’m not one of those that constantly hate on konami but this time i’m so pissed off. I truly think that what’s awful isn’t nibiru’s implementation in dl but how they managed to release a selection box, which just this is a complete robbery since in every of this selection boxes there are must-have cards for some decks whose are unplayable or very weak without that cards, few days before the release of a mini which is a hard 3 resets box for cards like engage. Moreover taking as an example exactly sky striker not only i MUST reset the box three times (since we all know engage…) but ALSO spend tons of gems on the selection in order to get kaina and if this wasn’t enough there’s even the cherry on top: the fucking kagari BUNDLE. I’ve been playing dl since 2018 literally nonstop but yeah this is the first time konami drove me insane.
You have it rough. These 2 boxes are literally targeting sky strikers players to run them dry. As far as I can see the mini box has nothing else meta relevant, only cards for fun decks, and only nibiru is worth from the new selection if you aren't a sky striker player

Gonna speak out for us Red-Eyes players. If you go the red-eyes fusion route, you're safe. But if you want to go the xyz route, then I have some bad news: considering the xyz route ends on 2 xyz monsters (and a trap if you're lucky), you're looking at EXACTLY 5 summons. Now you might say "flip summons don't counts", and that is true, but even without the flip summons, you're looking at potentially more than 5 summons. Here's the line for those wondering. You set the vanilla, activate the skill to set return/spirit, flip summon, special meteor from hand (1), make flare metal (2), revive, activate insight to dump a vanilla, special it back with flare metal, while detaching a vanilla (3), use return/spirit to bring back the vanilla (4) and then make another flare metal or the doom rider (5).
I'm a Live Twin player, and while the Selection Box isnt *necessary* for me since I'm mostly focusing on the Unchained variant for now, its more than enough incentive for me to at least go for the full 20 free packs & hopefully get at least one Nibiru as a bonus.
I want to tell that I've been playing ranked recently and I got having a laughing fight against Nib player and lucky me I'm using a Cyberse deck. Funny thing is they tried to Nibiru me but my opponent didn't realise that I had Cynet Refresh in my GY, Nib is on chain link 1 and my Cynet Refresh is chain link 2, so my opponent just scoops it.
*Laughs in Sunavalon* Unexpected Dai into 5 Summons for a small Token: which COULD utilize the Luxurious Skill to have a Daphne to Tribute the Token to recycle until she comes to Duel Links; regardless, the Sacred Seed Skill gives a Free Loci and one STILL has the Normal Summon.
But how do you even continue if they already wipe out all your Links in the field? Heck, I've found myself stuck with no recovery after getting the combo interrupted by Veiler on T1. I figure it's gonna be worse with Nibiru.
The whole reason people play Duel Links over Master Duel is because cards like Nibiru aren't in the game. What are they doing? This and Maxx C have no place in Duel Links.
like my madolche deck pretty much every combo deck is done with a single hand trap, a floodgate trap hole or any interuption, nibiru is there the least playable card, the worst handtrap probably, no reason to play it right now. link combos can and will play through nibiru, and many otehr decks can too like in the tcg. anyways, i want pot of avarice for my red-eyes deck :3
Honestly, I wasn't going to bother since A. I don't like having to use meta cards. B. The only deck I would realistically put it in is fossils since last I checked, it's a rock type. And C. I have no interest in obtaining and subsequently spending 200 gems over and over again, just for the off chance to slap down a big ol rock.
Wait, Nibiru is in Duel Links now? Good grief. I suppose Yugioh power creep is just an inevitability, seeing as how the game has been rebooted 3 times (duel links, speed duel, rush duel) and still winds up here.
Hello, I already have Nibiru and in a pvp duel vs a Varis he summoned 6 monsters, I had the button on automatic and it still didn't let me use Nibiru, any idea what I did wrong?
Were some of those summons not during the main phase or with a skill? Cause skills don’t seem to count (altho id like testing on that) but also Nib only Nibs during main phase and Varis summons during end phase a lot

i can see depending on the coming box what can become nibiru: the earthbound, aqua one, the dumon one (can basicly summon a total of 8 monsters in a turn its absolutly stupid you only need 2 cards and only 6 are counted towards nibiru cause 2 is from skill and note they can also go into number c102 easily. the amount of shit dumons deck have gotten is so much but people dont remember HIS MONSTERS GIVE THE XYZ DRAW CARDS WHEN SUMMONED your never gonna have an emty hand
another one is sharks deck... i ended up on a field with: bahmut shark, black ray, full armored utopic lancer and a number 37 with 3 cards NO IM NOT JOKING. you send one of the hands to the gy send the other from deck add water summon both out go into bahmut use its effect summon something go into lance then summon a lvl 4 now go into 37 and well look you still got the skill to summon black ray
Thinking about your comment, Dumon vs Kalin would be rather interesting when you think about it. One's deck is focused on keeping your hand full while the other is focused on keeping your hand empty. Would make for an interesting duel 🤔
@@WeaponXSigma this is so needed XD. i have gotten the deck ready. im missing 1 card but i cant be bothered getting it. its a mandatory play most of the time... but im like i can run 1 off it. its a once per turn thing plus your not gonna most of the time do more than an otk with the deck XD. its the scepter. what your gonna do is pop a facedown card with it xD. your gonna always use the skill for it or the chair. since both has effects when you do stuff and want them as materials
sacred beast dont summon 5 ltimes? level 2 > level 1 > beast > revive level 1 > link koriboh. this is not a god hand, this is the standart starting turn?
