So glad you are showing the actual correct techniques for fine sewing along with the beautiful designs. This is how it is done! The pattern fits, (an actual pattern is used, lol!) It is cut accurately. Interfacing and support materials are used (love the elastic at the bodice front), you understitch to keep the bodice in place at the top edge (this is essential) and you press as you go and use a tailor's ham to press shape into the garment. Sewing is only as good as the pressing... There are a lot (enough) of slap dash artists on RU-vid that have probably never consulted a sewing book to learn these techniques and worse, don't even care to improve their technical skills. They are fun, but their work does not bear close inspection. Hurray for you for elevating the fine art of sewing. Clap! clap!

I don't really sew that well but to find a channel with someone so skilled & with my name, having such clear instructions makes me want to try this dress for my daughter. We will be going to the fabric store this week!
I adore your very handy looking little pouch for all of your sewing needs. I'm also really impressed at how neatly you finish off each piece of the dress. It's really lovely ... but as I'm older, I'd probably make the straps wider, not use sleeves as I live in a tropical climate, and increase the length. I love the softness of the pleats too ...

Lovely dress, i would appreciate if you could include suggested fabrics with your patterns on your web site and videos. I am sewing through my fabric stash and my greatest difficulty is matching fabrics to patterns.
I agree, I want to know what fabrics are suitable before buying the pattern. Eg is a taffeta or crepe back satin suitable? I would think so? This is for a wedding

a few days ago i finally purchased the pattern and ordered materials online, and now in the meantime while im waiting for my fabric to arrive ive been watching this video many times to prepare for sewing this lovely dress🥰🥰 and every time i see the finished zipper i let out a sigh of joy🥲 it is really satisfying to see a perfectly sewn invisible zipper! i wish i could do that😅

I think this would be great in raw silk or a damaskas top over a velvet bottom. Also, if you could do this top to the upper hip, it would be great over wide leg pant
