Another plein air sketchbook completed with a variety of landscapes and seascapes all sketched on location using different media.
I lost this Khadi sketchbook for a while! I started using it back in 2020 and have only just finished it on June 4th 2022! It is mainly filled with watercolour sketches but I also used casein, gouache, oil paints and graphite.
No commentary on this video as I quite liked listening to the pages turning and the sounds of the locations and birds. Let me know what you think and if you'd like the commentary back I will include it in the next plein air sketchbook video.

Absolutely priceless, Andrew! Although I really like hearing your musings and decision-making process while you paint, this video is a real treasure. I commented a while back on another sketchbook video about how I like seeing the location clips interspersed with the sketches, but you have refined that technique, letting the birdsong, the sounds of the surf and wind, speak for themselves. Hearing it is almost like being there sketching with a friend. Thank you for this. ~Rhonda

I loved the how the outside covers, tell a story of rough travel and wet paint. Those Khadi sketchbooks are tough. Love the rough texture in your paintings and that one painting done in the rain.

Thank you Jennie - I try and take Basil with me as much as possible, but he's not very sociable in his old age! We have to avoid busy dog walking areas.

That does it. I have oggled the effects you produce for long enough, any recommendations/advice before buying some ? As much as I have always loved the commentary with your videos I really enjoyed interpreting your sketches just with the background audio snippets 😍 I found my eyes drawn to pieces they wouldn't have been

@@AndrewBarrowmanArt ha seems a chunk of my text vanished It should have said I've oggled the effects you get with oil sticks ! Been painting in watercolour for years, recently became an oil paint addict (omg why did i wait till I hit 50 before trying oil paints 🤔).

Oil sticks are great fun but get very messy! Good for starting a painting though - the you can paint on top with oil paints

Hi Andrew - thank you 😊 This sketchbook is 25cm x 21cm. I get them from my local art store but you can buy direct from Khadi 👍🏻
