What exactly is a Pumpkinseed, you might wonder? Well, it's not exactly native to these parts. This colourful little fish hails from the waters of North America and found its way here through the intricate channels of the fish trade. While it's a rare sight, occasionally you might stumble upon it in the secluded corners of a pond tucked away in the UK countryside.
For those who've followed my angling adventures, it's no secret that I harbor a particular fondness for the more diminutive species. There's something enchanting about the pursuit of these elusive creatures, and Pumpkinseeds have long held a place on my angler's bucket list. I've spent years yearning to finally cradle one of these exotic beauties in my hands.
So, armed with fresh information and fueled by the thrill of the chase, my trusty companion Tom, An Everyday Angler Aaron, and I set out on our expedition.
