Anton, the lapse of attempts where you counted real time was my favorite way to see you try so many times. It made the time and effort understandable but fast . I also laughed really hard seeing you fly across the screen with the pliers on repeat. Best shot ever.
5:27 The most honest "don't try this at home" I've ever seen. Actually giving good advice instead of just saying a statement no one will take seriously to cover you legally.
My great grandfather would walk into a hardware store and squeeze all the pliers. He bought the one that didn't bend or break. I'm luckily blessed with some of those genes. I'm 155 Lbs my grip on a dyno is 158.
Guess I'm the the only one stoned watching this thinking " those pliers are gonna spin round and pierce his head if he isn't carful" I literally just kept watching those pliers spin 😂😂
how tall are you again? i'm probably heavier than you are, considering how skinny as hell i am. i'm around 6 feet or 184 cm and i'm about 80 kg. kind of odd considering how much masculin you are compared to me. you are an inspiration!
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY CAUGHT THAT!!!! That, to me, is the most impressive thing you've ever done xD Just aiming it is hard enough. And then having the strength to actually hang on and pinch it, despite the forward and especially downward moment? There's no way!! BUT YOU DID IT!!!!!
@@ICUmoscow It's actually quite impressive if he made that himself. I found his soundcoud but its not on there so i guess it is unreleased.. If you see this Anton please release that song 😀
Yeah I thought it was funny how he tried to say that was average. I bought one of those and the most I've ever done is 163lbs but I'm like 50lbs heavier than him. Getting close to bodyweight on that is impressive
@@jordanbroadhead7388 so do you know if that machine relates to hand grippers? Like if you can squeeze 160 on that then you should def close 150 lb hand gripper?
1st of all i can't believe you actually pulled that off! 🤯 2nd of all I would have started with baby steps. Like having it just above you and practice jumping straight up and grabbing it or whatever it takes to break it down into more manageable pieces. But of course you're you, so you just did it 😂 3rd of all, if you made larger more comfortable plyer like grabbers specifically for this trick you could conceivably make this an actual obstacle in ninja warrior I would guess. 4th of all, great video (as always!) 😁
I can't write it in words how much i admire you and how much you have changed my life. Your 'real life work' video was the most inspiring for me. You work so hard to be where you are and that helped me work hard in my life. Love from India😊✌🏻
The wee giggle at 2:31 was cute, almost like you were thinking "I'm going to have fun" Also that slo-mo when the camera fell over was actually quite artistic. Happy New Year to Kelly, Boulder and yourself. Also Happy New Year to everyone who subscribes to Anton
I tend to parodically binger watch so hope you see this. Please get a helmet and some safety glasses, things like this are a good way to fall and get smacked in the head (or god forbid eye) with flying metal items.
Ok that is one of the funnier looking skills you've filmed lol. Something about the flying through the air holding your hands out like you're using a dousing rod to find water lol....
Hey there dude! I`ve watched this video because of your awesome godlike forearm strength, but i visited it 10x more because of the music in it later on! xD I`ve read from the comments its the music you are making, so as a rly rly long time electronic music producer, i just wanna say that you got something special. You did an awesome work, and i highly encourage you to keep on making this stuff! Rly well developed music, just like your forearms! All the best mate!
Seeing the failed attempts inspires me to be a better athlete, knowing that even someone as strong and skilled as you takes time and tries to pick things up.
I think 169lbs is pretty damn good. I had to train grippers for quite a while to get those numbers so it's not a number a beginner is likely to squeeze, at least that's my opinion! I've read that when they made the captains of crush grippers, they did do some research which led up to the entry gripper "Trainer", which was based of the average grip strength of an adult American male who didn't already train anything involving grip. But I'm not a 100% on that fact, what do you guys think? Sound plausible?
They tested my grip strength during a pre-employment physical a few months back and I got a 156 which they were very impressed with. This is also coming from a 6' 1" 230lb guy, so I'd hazard a guess that 169 is WELL above average.
Well not all dynamometers are equal, but supposedly the average crushing grip of the generation that grew up during the world wars was 60kg, that of the generation that’s in their 40‘s now is about 50kg and that of your modern college student is about 40kg. This refers to males. Female crushing grip has consistently stayed at about 35kg.
using pliers really strenghtens your grip. my grandpa made me work for 2 years with him as a farmer and sometimes we had to do some heavy metal work for the garden and stuff. so I used pliers and other tools A LOT. after that 2 year I was strong af. my big brother that does fitness for 5 years now and couldnt beat me in an arm wrestle match ever. But my grandpa is the strongest of us all. He was using that plier for probably 60(ish) years so... yeah. you get what I mean (my grandpa is 79 btw)
i just ate an entire box of baklava whilst watching this after a 10 hour shift i love my grandmother so much but she's making cutting weight in winter hard 😊
This is a cool idea for an obstacle. You could have cattle rings set up and instead of having to grip like you would a strap, you get the ring inside the hole in the middle of the plyers. I think that would be a little easier and have less chance of damaging the obstacle.
I'd say that's the best pair of players to pick for strength training your forearms like that because they're not the best ones as a tool you need a good forearm grip strength just to squeeze something tight enough to turn it with those

Applying the grip high on the handle near the pin will actually actually create a mechanical disadvantage. You want to squeez hardest near the end of the handles for maximum leverage.
