In the South Texas(1st to do it), Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Georgia all Tier-1 states in black culture. And all played relevant, important, long-lasting fashions slangs and styles to the culture. I honestly don't think either one is #1.

@@mytowntrill5441True...and while I agree that Texas was the first to do it, and all of the states listed are top tier southern states for black culture, aside from Rap A lot, the other Texas cliques (SUC, Swishahouse, DSR etc) were extremely regional, and never reached the nationwide success of labels like Cash Money, No Limit or even Trill Fam. Texas was the first to put out cliques in the south but Louisiana took it to another level. Plus Louisiana originated about 5 or 6 different kinds of black music l in their state alone which influence their sound. (Bounce, Band/2nd Line, Jiggin, Zydeco, Blues, Jazz etc). They just have a much deeper, richer, and more complex black music culture than most states.
